Great time, yummy food !! - Had a great time on this tour with Oscar and Roberto. Had so much yummy food and was always given an option to try. Oscar was great, volunteering to take lots of photos as I was on my own and suggesting other places to eat. Roberto was full of fascinating information on Japanese etiquette. Would love to do this tour again next time I pass through Osaka.

Completely full of food - Fantastic experience, it’s the first time taking a good tour in Osaka and it was just great, we didn’t try 13 dishes , because it was a lot of food, we really enjoy it

Don’t waste your time or money with this tour - This was the worst “tour” I’ve ever taken. It was disorganized and unplanned. We were expected to choose all the food spots and ask constantly what we wanted to do/eat because the tour guide had no plan. She didn’t seem confident and it felt like this was her first tour. I was surprised to learn she’d been giving tours for a year. We would’ve had a better, and cheaper, experience had we just gone to the market on our own.

Room for improvement - After experiencing several food tours throughout Asia, I had high expectations for this one, but unfortunately, it fell short. While our guide was friendly, the tour lacked direction and planning. The description promised 15 dishes at 5 eateries, including Karaage, Yakitori, Takoyaki, Udon, Oden, Kushikatsu, Tebasaki, dessert, and two drinks. However, we only received fried rice, boiled and fried hormones (offal), Takoyaki, Kushikatsu (a mixed assortment for the group making it impossible to try them), and a beer. For the price, I expected more variety and a unique experience, but it didn't deliver. There's definitely room for improvement.

Don’t book with Viator internationally unless you’re sure there is a local customer service - 24/7 support NOT - There is NO 24/7 support at all. No one showed up to tour us, no other guests. No one from the local company contacted us, there was absolutely NO easy way to contact anyone locally or internationally by Viator. Once we finally found the 702 Las Vegas corporate number, continually disconnected. The “local” number that again was impossible to find was only in Japanese. Some how after 5 different loops on the email confirmation of the tickets and forcing you to create and use a Viator account or app - only to receive a basically could barely care reply of we’ll look into a refund and you’ll here from us in 7 business days.

Do not choose this experience, terrible service - Do NOT book this experience. Guide left without us. Guide did not communicate in advance where to meet and made no effort to coordinate with us. Other tours that we had the guides wrote us in advance multiple times to make sure everything was coordinated, this one made no effort whatsoever even when I wrote them through the Viator app.
It was a complete disaster and very disappointing because we had been looking forward to this for a long time.

Do not go on this tour. - Wish I could give less stars because this 1 that I have to give wasn't even earned as far as I am concerned. However must be given so I can leave a review. No communication given. I reached out to discuss the meeting point for the tour and NOTHING...... no communication or anything. This is a piss poor excuse for a company and it is beyond ridiculous. I have been on many tours through this app and every other tour the guide has communicated well in advance. DO NOT GO ONE THIS TOUR UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.
