"Take a walk on the wild side" - We had a great time on this walking tour. Our guide Knox was really informative and had awesome energy throughout the whole walk. We learned a lot about the other side of Japan that you may not really hear too much about. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Extremely detailed in sight into the other side of Osaka! - Definitely a 5 star tour with everything that you learn. I won't bother repeating what everyone else already said, just sign up and go because it's worth it!
I just want to offer helpful critique for our guide Mari. Firstly, she is INCREDIBLY knowledgeable about Osaka, and it is truly impressive. She was able to teach us, while also answer all of our impromptu questions with detailed, intellectual responses. My critique however, is first on her talking speed.....she speaks way TOO FAST. I'm a native English speaker, so I understood everything, but there were people on our tour who weren't native speakers, and I was so concerned about their understanding of her. It seemed like her fast speech was specifically during the first half of the tour, so I figured she must've just had a strong coffee before we started and it had her wired. Either that, or I got used to the pace. Nonetheless, it was noticeably fast. Second critique, it felt like she was a bit short with people and their questions at times. She always answered the question, but she wasn't always graceful in how she answered it and sometimes it came across a bit harsh. I do appreciate that she kept things moving because I do understand that it's a 3 hour tour with alot to cover, and if you let people take it over, then they will. So I'll give her credit for being firm and cutting people off when need be, but there's just a bit more grace that's needed.
Anyway, great and super informative tour. I also really appreciated Mari's list of recommendations from her QR code scan that she provides. I actually used her list for my time in Kyoto and will again for Tokyo next. Thank you!

Don't skip the Backstreet Osaka Tour! - Mari was a fantastic tour guide. We really enjoyed the backstreet tour of Osaka. We learned so many new things about Japanese culture and life. Even though it was raining, it was the best tour we took in Japan and the top highlight of our trip.

Marie is the best! 5/5 better than Andy! - Marie was fantastic, we had a great time learning more about Osaka from her.
We learned a lot, and really enjoyed the chicken she introduced us to at a local mom and pop shop.
While we didn't care for a few topics covered in the tour, we still enjoyed the experience!

A fantastic experience (even in the rain!) - A fantastic experience (even in the rain!). Mariia is great guide, incredibly knowledgable and charismatic. She was always happy to take questions and very funny so the c.3.5hours flew by! The tour itself is super interesting and covers topics that you wouldn’t normally get on standard castle, shrine, temple visits. The food we had was also delicious and overall the tour is a great value for money. Highly recommend!

Informative and interesting tour. A must do! - This a must do if you are in Osaka for a few days. Gives a different perspective on Japan which makes you appreciate and understand why they do some things the way they do. Mari was an excellent guide! She knew so much and I’ve never learned more in a tour of Japan than I did with her over 3 hours. She was informative but kept it light despite the heaviness of some topics. Great work all around!

Great experience - Great experience, a lot of interesting and unique information about osaka and japan. You get to see some "touristy" areas but then also see some areas you absolutely would not on other tours. Dinner is at end for anyone booking the with dinner option and was delicious.
