Exactly what I wanted - This tour was exactly a different kind of tour I wanted to experience. Personally, I'm not interested in widely known history as it's something I can read from books. I wanted the information that can't be found in books, I wanted real people's stories, I wanted to know what was hidden beneath all the flashing lights and giant sculptures. I got even more than that. Adam, our guide, was so knowledgeable and so real, he elevated the whole experience to another level. The effort he put into researching and creating this unique tour is outstanding. He's a brilliant storyteller and the love and care and effort shows in every word.
The restaurant we went to for dinner had delicious food, amazing staff, but the story of why it was chosen, is even better. You should discover it yourself on the next tour.

A true taste of Osaka’s soul! - This was honestly one of the best experiences I had in Japan! Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, and took us to places we would never have found on our own. From tiny standing bars in back alleys to a local kushikatsu joint full of regulars, everything felt authentic and exciting.
We also learned so much about Osaka’s history and unique culture—it’s very different from Tokyo in a fun, down-to-earth way.
If you’re looking to see the real side of Osaka, not just the tourist spots, this is it. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to eat, drink, and laugh like a local.

See another side of Osaka for the wide-angle view! - Brian is an amazing guide, rock on, dude! We toured an area of Osaka we would have never found by ourselves and Brian, with his in-depth knowledge and sensitivity to the residents of the area, gave us a nuanced portrait of the area, the culture, and the history that will stay with us long after we return home. Clear-eyed and humorous, you will get a more complex, and more complete view of Osaka! Take this tour - you will learn much! And if Brian is your guide, you’ve hit the jackpot! Rock on!

Backstreet Osaka Tour - Booked this thinking it was a food tour (it was not) but we were extremely happy with the tour we received! Rat was incredible - found out so much about Osaka and answered many questions we had been thinking about but not found the answer to previously. The dinner at the end was delicious and I doubt we would have tried a similar restaurant had we not been taken there by a guide.
Highly, highly recommend and if you are lucky enough to get Rat as your guide, you will have a fabulous time :)

Includes red light district - Dillon was a great guide who showed us some of the must-see spots in Osaka. He was friendly, informative, and genuinely enthusiastic about sharing his knowledge. He answered all of our questions, especially those about the red light district, with honesty and insight. We enjoyed a snack and drink during the tour, followed by a delicious dinner at a local spot. Overall, a fun and memorable experience.
