• Kuromon Ichiba Market黑門市場 - Start your journey at this bustling covered market, affectionately known as “Osaka’s Kitchen.” Sample juicy grilled scallops, savory croquettes, and seasonal fruits while your host shares insights into local ingredients and culinary traditions.
• Dotonbori Street - Stroll beneath neon lights and along the Dotonbori Canal. Savor Osaka’s iconic takoyaki (octopus balls) or okonomiyaki (savory pancakes), and learn how this vibrant district influenced the city’s food culture.
• Hozenji Yokocho - Hidden behind Dotonbori’s bustle, this narrow cobblestone lane offers a glimpse into old-world Osaka. Visit a serene moss-covered temple, then slip into a historic izakaya for grilled skewers and a glass of sake.

You’ll weave your way through Osaka’s streets with one of our local Osaka hosts, feasting on regional Kansai dishes. Known as ‘Kuidaore City’, meaning ‘to ruin oneself with food’, we’re sure you’ll agree that this sounds like you’ve happily landed in the country’s gastronomic capital! You’ll feast on Kobe beef, best served grilled or in Tecchiri. Round things off with dessert! You could go for sweet rice cakes, rainbow-colored pancakes or matcha flavored ice-cream.

Within 24 hours after booking you’ll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you’ll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the xperience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.
