- Osaka - Meet the tour guide at either Shinsaibashi or Umeda DT Tower, and embark on a journey in our luxurious private vehicle for a 15-minute ride to the first stop, Osaka Castle.
- Osaka Castle - The tour begins at Osaka Castle, originally constructed in 1597 as the main fortress of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, one of Japan’s great unifiers. Renovated in 1997, it offers a 360-degree view of Osaka and houses a museum that explores the castle’s history and the lives of the three great unifiers: Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
- Dotonbori River - Following Osaka Castle, enjoy a 15-minute drive to Dotonbori, renowned for its lively atmosphere, street food, and shopping. The tour guide will lead you to Hozenji Temple and assist in capturing photos with the iconic Glico Man sign. You’ll have approximately an hour of free time for lunch and shopping. Be sure to try Osaka’s famous takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and/or kushikatsu!
- Namba Yasaka Shrine - Post-lunch, the tour proceeds to Namba Yasaka Shrine, home to the guardian of Osaka’s central Namba district. The giant lion’s head is believed to swallow evil spirits and bring good fortune. It stands as a tribute to a larger temple complex that was destroyed during World War II.
- Shinsekai - Next, travel to the Shinsekai district, which originated from the 1903 National Industrial Exhibition. In 1912, it was transformed into Luna Amusement Park with its Tsutenkaku Tower. Although the park closed in 1923, the district retains some of its carnival-like charm. Despite its reputation as one of Japan’s largest slums, it is quite safe today. It is also the birthplace of Osaka’s famous kushikatsu (breaded deep-fried skewers), and hosts numerous shogi and mahjong clubs, as well as being a hub for affordable clothing, food, and drink.
- Osaka - After exploring Shinsekai, you will be returned to your designated pick-up location.
