The main attraction of Umeda Sky Building is the Floating Garden Observatory, which offers a 360-degree view of Osaka’s cityscape from 173 meters above ground. The observation deck can be accessed by a see-through escalator that makes it seem as if you’re floating in the air. From there, you can enjoy the transition from evening to night views, and especially in February and October, the view of the sun setting over the middle of the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.

The observation deck offers a panoramic view of Osaka’s cityscape, and the views from the “Golden Observatory” and “TIP THE TSUTENKAKU,” where you can see through to your feet, are particularly popular. Attractions include the “TOWER SLIDER,” where you can slide down the tower, and the “WALK,” where you can try out some athletic activities. Another feature of the tower is that there are multiple “Billiken,” beloved as the god of good fortune, inside. The vibrant shopping streets and giant billboards of the surrounding “Shinsekai” are also highlights worth seeing along with Tsutenkaku.

• Dotombori Glico Sign - Dotonbori’s highlights include touring the giant neon signs such as the Glico sign and Kani Douraku, the Tonbori River Cruise, taking commemorative photos at Ebisubashi Bridge, cultural facilities such as the Osaka Shochikuza and Kamigata Ukiyo-e Museum, and the many gourmet foods that symbolize the “town of gourmets” such as takoyaki and okonomiyaki. The illuminated streets are especially beautiful at night, and a river cruise is also recommended.
