A really lovely experience from start to finish. - Had a lovely couple of hours around the museum. Started with a cocktail and snack at the skybar and then worked my way down. Saw lots of different exhibits and obviously made sure I saw the scream, his most famous work. Finished off with another drink and slice of cake at the ground floor cafe and bought some souvenirs from the gift shop.

Spectacular and touching experience of art - Spectacular museum of course from one of the greatest contemporary artists. Very impressive to see art works of Munch in real world. Suggestion is to have a headset to listen to the audio guide. It will boost your experience to the next level. Museum is very big and first 3 floors are works of Munch and the rest are other Scandinavian artists. You will need some hours to visit everything. Museum is kids friendly and there are some small activities designed for children to learn about painting and creativities. Museum store also has good learning materials for adults and children.

Amazing - Absolutely loved this museum. I've been a Munch fan for many years and to actually see The Scream in person was great. The actual museum is an architectural dream and is very well thought out. The exhibits were fascinating, I had no idea Munch had produced so much work. Staff at the museum were lovely, so helpful and friendly. I will definitely return in the future.

Not just "The Scream"! - How wonderful! A museum really rich in works to discover that Munch is not only "The Scream" but much more. Well-structured, with large rooms where you can run freely without annoying or being annoyed by other patrons. The structure of the building is also very interesting both as an external view and as an internal part. Going to the top floor you can enjoy a view of the Opera House and part of Oslo Fiord.

The Scream dominates everything - the Oslo MUNCH leaves a very positive overall impression, both inside and out. The building is modern, iconic, perhaps discussed, but personally convincing: it stands out and gives identity to the waterfront. The interiors are well organized, with large spaces and a clear narrative. However, beyond The Scream's famous work, the rest of the journey is less memorable. More than just individual iconic masterpieces, the museum seems to be built to fully tell the story of Edvard Munch’s universe, with many works and variations on the theme. In the end, the feeling of a solid and well-made museum remains, stronger as an overall experience than for the presence of so many “unforgettable” works. A place that works, even if dominated by a single truly iconic image.

Don’t waste your money. - Do not go. Security is absolutely excessive—guards are everywhere, even inside the locker room, closely watching how you put your belongings away. It feels invasive, uncomfortable, and completely unnecessary. There is no chance to enjoy the exhibition when you’re constantly being monitored. The atmosphere is tense and oppressive—this place feels more like a prison than a museum.
