The journey begins at the equestrian statue of King Karl Johan, the visionary urban planner who named Oslo’s main street and influenced the city’s growth. From this point, the tour leads you through the park’s lush landscapes and into the royal narratives: from the 1905 dissolution of the union, through World War II and the reign of King Olav V, to the contemporary royal family.
Throughout the walk, there are stops at sculptures, plants, and scenic viewpoints, making history come alive in stunning surroundings. The tour concludes in front of Oslo City Hall, leaving you with new insights and lasting impressions.
