Amazing way to spend an evening in Oslo! - Beautiful, scenic cruise on a fun, comfortable boat. All you can eat shrimp were delicious! Highly recommend this tour.

Great tour! - YuMay was a wonderful guide, not only versed in the local cuisine. She kept our interest, even on the long walks between stops. The fjord cruise was a great ending to our evening of food and drinks.

What can one expect more ?! - During the tour we stopped at four places: 1. a restaurant that served dried fish and whalemeat, 2. a pizzeria where we had two different toppings - lamb and reindeer, 3. a café restaurant where we had a typical Norwegian pastry, and 4. a micro brewery to sample three beers,. Then it was down to the harbour for a three hour Fjord cruise with an all you can eat shrimp buffet with bread and mayo. In all it was a 6 hour tour. The first part (the food tasting) was guided by Ivana whereas the boat ride was on our own. We done for Ivana for her friendliness and efficient service. A tour which is worth all the money spend for it!! Keep on your good work !!!

Well constructed and good variety of food and drink. - I went on this tour as a last minute substitute for the Taste of Oslo Walking Tour which at the time of notification had insufficient numbers. Although that situation changed the day before I was due to go, I decided to stick with the Food and Fjord Tour and I was not disappointed. Superb communications from Ivana throughout this process - she was also the guide for this tour and was excellent company. There were 7 people on the tour. We stopped at four places - a restaurant that served dried fish and whalemeat, a micro brewery to sample three beers, a pizzeria where we had two different toppings - smoked salmon and reindeer and a café restaurant where we had a typical Norwegian pastry. Then it was down to the harbour for a three hour Fjord cruise with an all you can eat shrimp buffet with bread and mayo. Ivana did not accompany us on this part of the tour. Some nice photos were subsequently sent to the participants by email. A thoroughly enjoyable evening (6 hours) that comes highly recommended.

Great experience. One of the highlights of our trip! - We loved the personal feel of the walking tour. Our guide was an Oslo local who really brought the city to life in a way we hadn't yet experienced. The food and drinks were phenomenal at every stop (including the shrimp buffet on the boat.) The only recommendation I would make is to try to be a little early to the boat if you want a table seat. We ended up sitting in the middle of the boat because we took our time at the beer tasting stop, but we loved the brewery so much we went back for more after the boat ride! Highly recommend.

A Norwegian prawn dream! - I had my friend from Australia visit, and a colleague recommended trying the Oslo tour with the boat. We did not have time to do the whole trip with beer tasting, but where able to join the boat. It is the best tip I could have gotten! We still where able to buy a refreshing cold beer, and had the beautiful view of the fjords the whole way. It was a bit windy that day, but luckily the crew had put up wind shields for us. As we enjoyed the beer and chats with other visiters, the captain would tell us every now and then about the land marks and buildings on the way. Mid-way they opened up a simple, but delicious prawn buffet, with all you can eat, fresh prawns as main focus. I am impressed by the serving, because even though the boat was not crowded, it was a lot of people and everyone was able to help them self more then once, and still it was much left! As a bonus, the boat stopped by the opera house, which looked stunning now the clouds had clared and the midnight sun light appeared! I think my friend, who had to leave the next morning, had the best last expression of Norway he could have had! Thank you for the trip! Linn

Tasting was Excellent, Cruise was a little long. - We loved our guide Yu Mei on the tasting, she was full of great Oslo information, and took great care of us up until we left on the cruise. The tastings were great fun, the weather held for the cruise but it was rather crowded and cramped. Fun but a bit too long for me.

Great tour - Our tour guide was amazing! And the food on the walking tour was delicious, which was good because the shrimp was a bit off putting if your not prepared to dissect the shrimp. Just so you know you have to pull the heads off, pull out the guts,de-shell them, and most of them had hundreds of little eggs. If you can handle that it is worth it because the boat ride is magnificent.

Oslo Fjord by Boat - It was OK! Tour guide was very good, even though she was 30 minutes late. She made it up and took us on a food walking tour, a lot of walking but very different food to experience from fish to beer to pizza to sweets. The boat part was not what I expected, the boat was the Christiana and it was so overcrowded no where to sit. The shrimp was a challenge and the found the cruise part to be too long and not exciting at all. Was expecting more impressive sights.
