Living out my Viking warrior dreams… and satisfied my need for history! - What a brilliant experience. Olso is such a great city to explore… but I was seeking some historical element from our trip, and typical ‘museums’ aren’t really my thing. This experience was a great way to learn about the Vikings… in so many different and engaging ways, with multimedia videos, digital displays, VR etc… and all at our own pace. I also got the chance to ‘Ai’ myself into a Viking warrior princess and did the VR video game so I could imagine myself attacking the enemy! (I honestly enjoyed it far more than I ever expected!) I’d certainly highly recommend it!

Excellent presentation - We start with virtual games, Buenisimo, you travel in a boat fighting the arrows with other warriors, very exciting! There is also a virtual movie with battle included, very good!

Wonderful VR experience - It was a very great experience which gives you a whole perception of the viking history. The museum is very well organized - you can get an information about their normal life, used sheeps, clothes, jewellry. The VR experience was interesting as well. You can also take a photo by using different AI option to see yourself as a viking.

A great visit and Conrad was superb - This was a great little Museum with some very nice interactive activity. It even engaged 2 teenagers. The Virtual Reality part is quite basic but still enjoyable for a museum - Conrad the assistant at the VR part was very entertaining so well done to him

Well worth a visit, but don't expect too much from the VR - We'd read mixed things about this before we arrived, but I think a lot of the negative reviews are those of people who had gone in expecting one thing and finding something else. It is very much sold on the VR aspect, but it is much more than that! We went for the combined Museum and VR game ticket - we'd recently done another VR thing back home and got the bug to try out some more. The VR game is approx 15mins, you act as a Viking on board a long ship using a bow and arrow and sword to protect your ship - although visiting as a couple, we both played separately...arguably, I think it might have been more fun to both be on one boat side by side but that's probably a technical and logistical nightmare. You don't learn an awful lot through the game, but its a fun way to approach history. Downstairs, the museum was great - so much information, presented in modern and interactive ways, which makes the information much more accessible than seeing items behind a glass cabinet in a stuffy museum. The 270 cinema experience was great to give you a real feel for life in Viking Norway, and through the other exhibits you learned about Viking battles, Norse Gods & Mythology, different roles in Viking society, items Vikings would have used from long boats and weapons to craft items and furniture. It really gave you a sense of what life was like under Viking rule. The VR experience downstairs is fairly short, and a bit of fun, to end your visit - it is certainly not the main event. Staff were friendly and helpful, the museum felt spacious and wasn't too busy on a weekday afternoon, with exhibits available in multiple languages. The gift shop was well stocked and had some different items available to a lot of the usual tourist tat you get in these types of venues usually.

For a First Approach to Viking History - An almost totally digital space. A good approach to the world of Vikings, however, the essential is there and the films are beautiful.

Lousy. I RECOMMEND NOT DOING - Lousy. A disgrace what they present. Three non-tech games you can watch on YouTube. They last 3/4 minutes. A real scam
