- Otavalo - Join our wonderful Otavalo program, where the journey begins with a pickup in Quito City. We will then drive to the picturesque Guayllabamba Valley, renowned for its delightful local fruits.
The adventure continues through the Andes as we visit Cayambe, affectionately known as “the biscuit town.” Along the way, we’ll pause at the Mira Lago viewpoint, offering a breathtaking landscape adorned with crops, lakes, and volcanoes.
Upon arrival in Otavalo, we’ll explore the Handicraft Market, one of the oldest Indigenous markets in Latin America. From here, you’ll have ample time to explore and enjoy the area at your own pace.
In the afternoon, we’ll head to Cotacachi, also known as “the Leather town,” where you can savor lunch at one of the local restaurants.
The day’s highlight is a scenic train ride from Ibarra to Andrade Marín Station, showcasing stunning Andean landscapes. To conclude the experience, we’ll visit the historic Textile Factory Museum, where you’ll learn about Ecuador’s rich textile history. This will be our final stop before returning to Quito.

During the train portion of the tour, the local guides on board speak Spanish and have limited English proficiency. Your main tour guide will not accompany you on the train but will meet the group at the next station to continue the tour. If your group consists of more than 4 passengers, the main tour guide will join you on the train.
