The two waterfalls on this tour are truly breathtaking. The first stop, Hira Falls, is a short quarter-mile (400 meters) walk from the parking area. Following this, the journey continues to the even more impressive Yobai Falls, where visitors can enjoy the refreshing spray of the water. The entire hike is just one mile (1.5 km) round trip, but the path is rocky and steep, requiring a moderate level of fitness. Afterward, the tour proceeds to the shores of Lake Biwa, offering opportunities to kayak, swim, or relax on the beach. This tour is ideal for those looking to escape the crowds and heat of Kyoto and Osaka and immerse themselves in nature.
- While sections of the hike are steep and rocky, there are no dangerous cliffs, so this is suitable for children. Long pants and hiking boots are recommended.
