Tizi n Tichka - Tizi n’Tichka (Col du Tichka) is a high mountain pass reaching an elevation of 2,212 meters (7,257 feet) above sea level, situated on the border between the Marrakesh-Safi and Drâa-Tafilalet regions in central Morocco, Northern Africa. The name Tizi n’Tichka translates to “difficult mountain pasture” in Berber, and the reason becomes evident upon visiting. Ait Ben Haddou - Ait-Ben-Haddou in Morocco is a stunning fortified village located in the southeast of the country, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Today, Ait-Ben-Haddou is among the most visited attractions in Morocco and is considered one of the most captivating stops on tours across the country. Ouarzazate - The city itself is a sight to behold, and the surrounding area offers numerous attractions. Ouarzazate is renowned for its film studios, where world-famous movies have been produced, and for the well-preserved Kasbah Taourirt, which is open for interior viewing.
Vallee Des Roses - The Valley of the Roses begins with the round rocks of Imassine, seemingly balanced precariously, and from Kelaat Mgouna, following the Mgoun River, it reveals its full splendor. It is one of the most beautiful valleys in the High Atlas and southern Morocco. Ascending through the succession of palm groves and gardens that make up the Roses Valley is truly enchanting.
Tinghir - The palm groves, stretching 30 kilometers and dotted with small Kasbahs and Ksars, extend on either side of the city. Tourists on walking tours can discover the community’s organization in fieldwork and water distribution. The impressive gorges in the Todra Valley are Tinghir’s pride, attracting both international tourists exploring the Southeast and Moroccan tourists. It is a prime location for climbers due to the gorge’s walls, which can reach heights of 300 meters. Some climbing routes are well-marked, while others are not. The first night will be spent at the luxurious Dades Hotel (included).
TODGHA & OASIS GORGE - MERZOUGA
Gargantas del Todra - The breathtaking Todra Gorge is situated in the eastern Atlas Mountains and is one of Morocco’s most significant gorges. It begins at the oasis of Tinghir, where beautiful palm gardens serve as the gateway to the gorge. As you drive past small clay villages and ancient kasbahs, you will encounter vast landscapes and dramatic rock formations, creating a picturesque canyon.
Merzouga - After departing from the Todra Gorge, the journey continues to a hotel in Merzouga. After a brief rest, travelers will pack a small bag with essentials for the night in the desert, leaving other luggage at the hotel. Then, embark on a camel ride adventure across the Erg Chebbi sand dunes, offering a fantastic opportunity to capture stunning sunset and sunrise photos. Upon reaching the camp, leave the camels and walk to the highest sand dunes for sandboarding and to watch the sunset. The night will be spent in a camp (Berber nomad tents) with drum music in the heart of the Sahara.
High Atlas - Marrakech
Merzouga - Rise early to witness the sunrise and appreciate the tranquil beauty of the desert. After enjoying the breathtaking views, return to Merzouga. Upon arrival at the camp, there will be time for breakfast and a shower. Once refreshed, the journey back to Marrakech begins, passing through picturesque Berber villages and stunning landscapes. The route will retrace through Ouarzazate before continuing to Marrakech. The shared 3-day desert tour from Marrakech will conclude in the afternoon around 7:30 PM, with a drop-off at the hotel or the nearest accessible point to the riad.
