An Unforgettable Journey: Camel Rides, Waterfalls, and Scenic Views with Exceptional Service - The activity was truly enjoyable. Achraf was incredibly helpful during the booking process. I made a mistake while booking, and he pointed it out and helped me correct it. He was always available, responded quickly, and provided all the necessary information. I was very impressed by his professionalism. Our driver, Hicham, picked us up from the hotel on time and accompanied us throughout the activity. For the short camel ride, we had another guide. After the camel ride, we continued our journey to the mountains, where we made several stops to enjoy the views and visit a herbalist. For the waterfall excursion, we had yet another guide. The waterfalls were quite crowded, but the walk was worth it. On our way back to the city, we enjoyed a relaxing and delicious lunch by the river. After lunch, Hicham safely drove us back to the hotel. It was a pleasure chatting with him.

Ourika Valley day trip - Our hotel in Marrakech arranged this day trip to the Ourika Valley which was an easy process, cost 150MAD, short walk to Jemaa El Fna to catch the bus. Onto the minibus just after 9am & the first stop was at a roadside viewpoint for 15 minutes where locals were selling souvenirs & clothes. Then on to a ‘pharmacy’ where there was a 30-45 minute stop whilst the proprietor extolled the virtues of his products. Then on to a Berber house for 20 minutes or so, with an authentic looking ‘gift’ section. Lastly we stopped in the village of Setti Fatma, where we hiked up to the first waterfall. The hike was a bit rugged, no problem for me as I am a hiker but would be out of the question for those with mobility issues. The waterfall was nice without being amazing, I’ve seen better ones in my time. After that, there was the option to purchase a set menu lunch for 120MAD, we opted not to bother as we had brought our own food. We were allowed to sit on tables on the row further away from the riverbank than those who paid for lunch. One slight bit of naughtiness was the guide Hassan coming around after this saying we had to pay the guide 20MAD each for his services. The money wasn’t an issue, just wish this had been pointed out to us from the outset. We were then driven back to town & dropped off near the main square about 4.45pm. Disappointed there were no Camel ride opportunities on the trip, other than that, can’t moan too much, the trip was decent value for money overall.

A beautiful part of Matoc - Excursion organized by FRAM made by minibus with an interesting and kind guide. Meals by the stream rather average.
