Highlights of SA tour. - Had a great time touring with Pete. We were unlucky with the weather, however we still had a great time and completed all the aspects of the tour. Really enjoyed the wine tasting at the quirky D’Arenberg winery.

Highlights of Australia with Adelaide Extension - We had a lovely time for the most part on this trip. The guide was informative, chatty, charming and was well organised for all trips. We learned a lot about Australia. The downside was other travellers. There were 30 of us on this tour. 5 Canadians, 1 Scottish person and the rest Americans. Most of the travellers were wonderful. Really enjoyed their company.
At one point, we were asked by one of the bus drivers where we were all from and an American traveller said we were all from the U.S. No thought about the rest of the travellers!! The bus driver proceeded to give his presentation, as if we were all Americans!!! That was the first problem.
The next thing. Same people. Hogged the front seats throughout the trip. People were mentioning to us that they would have liked a chance to get a view of the country from the front. I was in complete agreement with them. The tour guide should have asked people at the beginning of the tour who would like to sit at the front and then alternate passengers regularly. That would have been fair. When I mentioned this to the tour guide, she completely misunderstood me and thought we wanted to be there the whole time.
Definitely needs improvement on that subject.

This 8 hour $189 regional... - This 8 hour $189 regional tour by Bums On Seats (BOS) including lunch was cancelled a few days before the tour date and we were given 2 different reasons for this. We were offered a 4 hour Adelaide and Hahndorf tour for $149 with no lunch. We took this tour which was good. We were told we would be given a $40pp refund. After a week I emailed Viator who only refunded $62.87. I had to email again to get the remaining $17.13 refunded to make up $80. I have used Viator for years and have been very happy and I’m sure if we could have done this tour it would have been excellent.

Would NOT recommend! - All of our tours were great on our Australian cruise & I would highly recommend all of them except for our tour in Adelaide with Bums On Seats. I have never seen a more disorganized tour from start to finish.
When I emailed Bums on Seats, I was told the Adelaide South Australia Highlights would be a good fit for my husband & I.
Our driver was 20 minutes late picking us up, did not pull in to the pickup location & had no signage on the vehicle. We got in the vehicle & drove a few miles before turning around to go back to our ship to get another couple who had been waiting 35 minutes & were NOT happy.
Our driver was nice but had a very thick Indian accent & we could hardly understand him. He gave little to no commentary on our tour.
He dropped the couple from our cruise off for a different tour & picked up two more couples at different hotels. They were all upset at the delay in being picked up.
We spent WAY too much time driving for the few things we saw & felt rushed trying to make up the time. We felt like we were being held hostage in the vehicle.
The two other couples on our tour were staying in Adelaide & they were very disappointed in our tour too. One couple got off at the first stop & the other couple opted to go back early as did my husband & I.
We almost always do private excursions but I was really concerned about getting back to the ship on time on this tour because it was so disorganized. Bums on Seats should NOT combine cruise ship passengers & guests from hotels on the same tour.
I would NOT recommend touring with Bums on Seats, especially for cruise ship passengers.
