The waterfalls’ appearance varies with the water volume, ranging from gentle trickles to a robust wall of water, sourced from the depths of the Middle Atlas. The journey to this stunning location takes you through lush valleys and expansive olive fields, which give the waterfalls their name—‘Ouzoud’ means ‘olive.’ Along the way, you’ll also encounter local fruits, especially when crossing the gorges of Oued El Abid, also known as the Silver River.
Visitors might be fortunate enough to spot the Berber Macaques, also known as Barbary Macaques, climbing trees in the area and playfully snatching food from people. These friendly creatures enjoy posing for photos with tourists.
