Review (2025-06-02): Perfect Sunday afternoon treat - Booked online after reading good reviews. Punt was easy to get into, if somewhat snug for 4 middle-aged women!), but nice and comfortable with the additional cushions. Lovely scenery en route with a chauffeur who was knowledgeable about the location. A gentle way to see some of the glorious sights Oxford has to offer. One of our group lost a charm from an earring, and on return to the landing station several different chauffeurs/ crew helped to find it! Thank you Angus and the team at the Private Oxford University Punting Tour.
Afternoon Tea on the Thames
As the day unfolds and the skies clear, the afternoon presents an opportunity to indulge in one of Oxford’s most cherished traditions: afternoon tea. On June 14th, the weather is mild, with temperatures reaching a comfortable 67.9°F, making it an ideal day for a river cruise along the Thames. The afternoon tea, provided by The Folly, is a culinary delight, featuring a selection of finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream, and an array of cakes and tarts. This indulgent experience is a celebration of the senses, a moment to savor the simple pleasures of life amidst the stunning backdrop of Oxford’s riverbanks.
