• Archaeological Park of Paestum - A UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  Established by the Greeks around 600 BC, it was originally named Poseidonia in honor of Poseidon, or Neptune, the god of the sea, to whom the city was dedicated. Between 400 and 273 BC, it was inhabited by the Italic Lucanian people. In 273 BC, it became a Roman colony known as Paestum.

The three grand temples at Paestum were constructed following the principles of the Doric order. The Greeks were also knowledgeable about the Ionic and Corinthian orders.

• Torre di Paestum - Visitors will explore a Buffalo farm and observe the process of making mozzarella and various other dairy products. There will be opportunities to taste freshly made products, followed by a light lunch (included).

  Pompeii Ruins:
  Exploring Pompeii is unlike visiting a museum; it is like stepping back into an ancient Roman commercial town spanning 3 km. Buildings, temples, and shops are frozen in time from the eruption.

Pompeii was an ancient Roman town near modern-day Naples, where the general populace vacationed during ancient Rome. It was largely destroyed and buried under 4 to 6 meters (13 to 20 feet) of volcanic ash and pumice during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD.
