• Imjingak Pyeonghoa-Nuri Park - This is a DMZ-themed park where visitors can purchase DMZ tickets, as there is no reservation system available.

Attractions include the Freedom Bridge, the Bridge of No Return, a derailed locomotive, and a scenic view from the top of the building. Additionally, there is an early-opening snack bar and restaurant.

• Mangbaedan - Mangbaedan is an altar where North Korean refugees in the South perform ancestral rites on the two major national holidays for their family members left in the North. An exhibition hall, formerly a military bunker, hosts various events for visitors within the resort.

• Bridge of Freedom - The Bridge of Freedom is a historic bridge near Imjingak Pyeonghwa Nuri Park, close to the DMZ.

• 파주 민간인통제구역선(검문소) - The Civilian Control Zone (CCZ) is a buffer area just south of the DMZ. Although not part of the actual DMZ, it is strictly controlled by the South Korean military.

  • Established after the Korean War
  • Designed to limit civilian access for security reasons
  • Acts as an additional protective layer before reaching the DMZ

  Why is it restricted?

  • Entry into the CCZ is controlled because:
    • It is very close to North Korea
    • There are still military facilities and surveillance systems
    • The area contains landmines and sensitive infrastructure

  Visitors must:

  • Join an authorized tour
  • Pass through military checkpoints
  • Show a passport or ID

• DMZ - The DMZ tour bus enters the Civilian Control Zone (CCZ), but the destination is located in the DMZ, requiring crossing the blue line, which signifies entering the DMZ!

  Visitors will stop at 3 to 4 places:

  1. The 3rd Infiltration Tunnel, dug by North Korea after the Korean War. Visitors can walk inside the tunnel.
  2. Dora Observatory: Offers a view of North Korea with the naked eye, and binoculars are available to see North Korean villages, fields, soldiers, and people.
  3. Unification Village: Located in the Civilian Control Zone, where visitors can purchase DMZ souvenirs, local products, bean chocolate, soy bean ice cream, etc.
  4. Dorasan Station: A hub connecting the two Koreas, currently under construction.

  After visiting all sites, the tour exits the CCZ.

• The Third Tunnel - This tunnel was dug by North Korea after the Korean War and was discovered based on a defector’s information. It is significant because it is only 52 km away from Seoul!

• Dora Observatory - Considered the highlight of the tour, as it allows visitors to see North Korea with the naked eye and binoculars.

• 통일촌장단콩마을 - Unification Village, where visitors can explore local produce harvested in the DMZ and purchase souvenirs.

• Gamaksan Chulleong Bridge - A suspension bridge at Mt. Gamaksan, once a fierce battlefield during the Korean War, now a tourist spot with natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy the scenery from the suspension bridge.

• 273-21 - This is the North Korea Museum, where visitors can take fun pictures in North Korea and JSA-themed photo booths!

  It is Seoul’s oldest food market and a filming location for the Netflix series “Chefs on Street.” With over 120 street food options, visitors can take their time and enjoy Korean cuisine!

• Dongdaemun Gate (Heunginjimun) - One of the gates in Seoul, where visitors can find the Dongdaemun Design Plaza and shopping malls. Additionally, there is a Korean sauna, Jjimjilbang, and Dongdaemun Sparex!
