Excellent Private DMZ Tour with Jimmy - We booked a private tour to the DMZ and had a fantastic day. Jimmy picked us up and was a great guide throughout. If you’re traveling with family and want to avoid the busy group tours, this is a great option. Definitely well worth the money.

Excellent tour and knowledgeable guide - We really enjoyed this tour. Learned so much about Korea, the conflict, the ongoing tensions and we have a much deeper appreciation for the country and its people. The lunch of “army stew” was fantastic. Mr Kim is an awesome guide. His experience in the army really gives you so much more insight and depth to the information. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for the highest quality guide and experience.

Chance Kim is the man! A most excellent tour experience. - I had an absolutely outstanding experience on this DMZ tour, thanks entirely to my guide, Chance Kim (who goes by Kim). I ended up doing the tour solo, and Kim was incredibly kind and accommodating in still running the full itinerary just for me—something that made the day feel truly special. Kim was exceptionally patient, energetic, and enthusiastic throughout the entire tour. His depth of knowledge about the history, geopolitics, and human context of the DMZ was impressive, and he explained everything in a clear, thoughtful, and engaging way. He was also very attentive to pacing and questions, making sure I never felt rushed and always felt comfortable asking anything. What made the experience especially memorable, though, was the personal connection. Beyond just delivering a tour, Kim created space for genuine conversation, and we were able to bond over shared experiences and perspectives across borders. It felt much more like spending the day learning with someone who truly cares about the subject, rather than being guided through a checklist of sights. Lunch was a memorable army stew, of course particularly memorable for being able to share with stories and conversation with Kim. This ended up being one of the most meaningful and memorable tours I’ve done anywhere. I can’t recommend this tour—and especially Kim—highly enough. If you’re considering a DMZ visit, you’ll be very lucky to have him as your guide.

Great day with Jimmy! - Jimmy was a great tour guide. He was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and a good photographer. Highly recommend. We went to the suspension bridge first and then the DMZ, where we had to switch to a bus and joined other groups. Three stops in the DMZ portion. Third stop was a “farming village” = tourist trap store but was not optional. Tunnel and observatory were interesting.
