• Castello di Venere - This area, governed by the universitas, was divided into fiefdoms and districts, owned either by the universitas or private individuals. Until 1846, it spanned about 40,000 hectares, with a coastline stretching 26 miles from Castellammare del Golfo to San Giuliano, encompassing three baronies. The first was Baida, bordering the beach, where the baron held full and mixed empire rights; the second was Inici, ruled by the Sanclemente family; and the third was Arcodaci, owned by the Monroy family. The Ralibesi fiefdom belonged to the universitas, with its name, like many regional districts, of Arab origin. Other fiefdoms included Xambola, Lacci, Punta (named for a land point extending to the sea at Capo San Vito), Castelluzzo (named after a local castle), and Sanguigno.
• Riserva Naturale Saline Di Trapani E Paceco - The salt pans are open for visits year-round, where you can witness the traditional manual sea salt collection by salt workers.

The large salt mounds are quite picturesque and are plentiful along the expansive tanks. During the harvest season, you can also observe various migratory birds, such as pink flamingos, herons, and black-winged stilts.

The reserve is extensive and managed by WWF ITALIA, featuring a Salt Museum, numerous ancient mills, and a watchtower.

This is an exclusive and private tour, where your group will be the only one participating. We will travel off the beaten track, visiting secluded, serene and secure locations in rural areas far from city life. A full-day trip with a driver who is fluent in English and can guide you through the day’s must-sees. On this journey, you can explore: Erice, a distinct Medieval town situated atop a mountain at 760 meters, a place adorned with churches, and castles. In Erice, you’ll also have the opportunity to savor local almond sweets and delectable wines. Post tour, we’ll descend to Trapani around noon, followed by a tour of the Saline. Please note, this tour is facilitated solely by a Driver for groups of up to 7/8 people. The Driver won’t be able to accompany the group within the monuments but will ensure to highlight the major attractions, offering rudimentary historical and cultural information.
