Do not hesitate, so worth it! - This was by far a highlight of my Mediterranean vacation. Giovanni and his wife were so welcoming and shared lovely memories, recipes, food and wine. I truly felt welcomed and I cherish the memories I created with them! The food was incredible! I have had many tours cancel on me as a solo traveler, but they did not. It was a beautiful way to gain insight into Palermo.

Excellent!! - The class was private, informative, hands-on, and very fun! The location was a bit challenging to find and the picture if the outside was not accurate. Plan ahead by getting a phone number. Photo needs to be updated.

Cesarine: Pasta and Tiramisu making - I booked this pasta making class for myself, my husband, 2 kids and their spouses. We had the best time making 2 different types of pasta and our own personal tiramisu. This class was in our host's personal home. Alice and her partner (sorry can't remember his name) were so welcoming, genuine and so nice. We had a lot of fun with them. Once all the pasta was cooking and the tiramisu was chilling, they set us up in their living room with appetizers and Italian wine. We all sat down at their dining room table and had a delicious feast of the 2 different types of pasta, one with a pesto sauce and the other with a ragu sauce served with Prosecco. The fresh pasta and sauce were out of this world delicious. The tiramisu we made was wonderful. If you're ever in Palermo and find yourself with some extra time, I would highly recommend taking this pasta class with Alice. We booked this class through Viator.

An amazing experience with Alice & family! - My wife and I had a wonderful experience with our local Cesarine Alice and her husband. We made a ravioli with ricotta cheese and tomato sauce and a semolina pasta with sun-dried tomato pesto sauce all from scratch. The highlight of the event was the tiramisu dessert! I highly recommend this class for anyone interested in learning about the traditional Sicilian cooking!

A morning cooking with Francesca - Today, 8 June, we took a cooking class with Francesca in Sicily. We learned the techniques to make 3 dishes: Ravioli with Eggplant, Pasta w/ Sausage and Zucchini and for desert - Tiramisu. We learned how to pick the appropriate vegetables, understand the types of flours, seasoning, and oils and preference of one over another. We had to prepare our ingredients, proper cutting and cooking technique. And the tools used for each dish and how to use them. We made the pasta from scratch: Flour (00), Egg, and experienced using a Pasta Machine. We experienced it all. We cooked each portion of the meal, learned what to look for and when it was ready to add the next ingredient. We cumulated this with 2 favorable and tasty meals; and finally desert. Finally, I never used or thought I'd like Basil but Francesca showed me how to prepare, cook, and appreciate its fine flavor. So, when in Sicily, and if you have time, I highly recommend a side trip to Bagheria and a cooking class with Francesca. kam from Hawaii 2025
