• Spiaggia di Mondello - Mondello (Sicilian: Munneḍḍu) is a charming district of Palermo, located in the autonomous region of Sicily, Southern Italy.

The beach is nestled between two cliffs, Mount Gallo and Mount Pellegrino. Originally a quaint fishing village on marshland, Mondello transformed into a tourist hotspot by the late 19th century. The seafront promenade is adorned with Liberty-style villas, making it a notable example of Art Nouveau in Europe.

Until the early 20th century, Mondello was a marshy area surrounded by two headlands: Mount Pellegrino, praised by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe as “the most beautiful promontory in the world,” and Mount Gallo. The historic fishing village was located at the base of the latter.

Upon arrival in Mondello, there will be an extended stop for lunch, either by the beach or overlooking the Oriented Natural Reserve of Capo Gallo.
