Private Tour of Palermo - We booked a private tour and Mauro met us at our hotel and showed us the sights of Palermo.
He was excellent and first took us to Palazzo Butera, where he showed us around and was incredibly knowledgeable about the whole place. We went at 10am and had the place to ourselves for the first hour!
Then we visited Monastero Santa Catarina D’Alessandria and Chiesa Della Martorana, where he explained the history and wonderful and interesting factoids!
I would highly recommend this tour - Mauro is a lovely guide and made it such a great experience!

Day with Mauricio - Palermo brought to life through Storytelling - We had the opportunity of spending the day with Maurico exploring the heart of Palermo, and truly unforgettable. Maurico brought history to life with stories and insights that made each stop not just a destination, but a vivid experience. We began at the Mercato del Capo, where the sounds, scents, and flavors of the market were complemented by Maurico’s stories about local food traditions and culture. At the Cathedral of Palermo, he helped us appreciate the layered history. Truly, a blend of Norman, Moorish, Gothic, and Baroque influences reflecting Sicily’s rich past. Wandering through the Quattro Canti (Four Corners), we see the perfect symmetry and the symbolic representation of Palermo's four historic districts. The nearby Fontana della Vergogna (“Fountain of Shame”) became more than just a photo spot thanks to Maurico’s tales of politics, art, and mischief.
At Church of Saint Catherine of Alexandria and Church of Saint Cataldo his explanations helped us understand their contrasting architecture and religious significance. We even had the chance to learn about the City Hall Archive, a hidden gem of civic history, often missed by visitors.
Our tour ended at the charming Piazza Marina, where centuries of stories—from inquisitions to liberation—echo through the trees and palazzos. It was the perfect place to pause and reflect on a city bursting with culture, contradictions, and charm.
Maurico is more than a guide – he’s a passionate storyteller who helps you see what most would simply overlook. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to connect deeply with Palermo and its soul.

Marcella makes you fall for Palermo—great energy, deep knowledge, and the city opens up through her connections. - Absolutely loved our time in Palermo thanks to Marcella!
She’s one of those rare guides who combines deep local knowledge, effortless charm, and genuine passion for her city. With her, everything feels easy — she knows everyone, and her connections open up the kind of experiences you just wouldn’t find on your own. She has that perfect mix of warmth, common sense, and storytelling that makes every moment feel meaningful!
Spending the day with Marcella doesn’t feel like a tour — it feels like wandering around with a friend who’s letting you in on all of Palermo’s best-kept secrets. You leave not only knowing the city better, but falling a bit more in love with it too.

An exceptional guide in the heart of Palermo – Thank you, Marcella - We were very lucky to tour Palermo with Marcella, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. From the first moment he made us feel at home, with a genuine kindness, a constant smile and a love for his city that gets infected.
Marcella not only knows every corner, every alley and every story of Palermo... but everyone seems to know her! It was amazing to see how the locals greeted her fondly by name, as if she were a beloved figure of the neighborhood (and she is!).
His historical, artistic and cultural knowledge is impressive, but what really makes the difference is how he shares it: with passion, closeness and a lot of heart. Thanks to it, we understood not only the history of the city, but also its soul.
Marcella is not only a guide, she is an ambassador of Palermo. If you have the opportunity to tour the city with her, do not hesitate for a second. Thanks for everything, Marcella!

The only way to experience Palermo - The walking tour of the city was fantastic. The route has been customized according to our requests. Seeing the city through Mauro's eyes was fun and interesting. His humor and knowledge of languages, together with a thorough (and passionate) mastery of history allowed us to enjoy Palermo for a whole morning (visit in English)

Marcella with Palermo Wonders - Marcella was the best!! As soon as we were picked up by her at our hotel we could tell she would be a great guide. She immediately showed her bubbly personality, being so glad that me and my girlfriend were taking a guided tour being so young. She took us all around the city on foot, telling us about its fascinating history and giving us many opportunities to experience its cuisine. She was very patient taking many photos of me and my girlfriend! I would definitely book this tour if you have the chance! (También habla un español increíble y sin acento. Uno diría que es nacida y criada en Madrid!)
