- Joshua Tree National Park - Enjoy an informative and engaging tour of Joshua Tree with one of our expert geology guides. Discover the park with a professional eco guide as you explore the ancient geological landscape that was once inhabited by the Serrano Indians.
We will also take you to the park’s most photographed spots and guide you through an area where you can find Indian cave drawings and even an old dam left by cowboys from long ago.
- Cap Rock Trail - Join your guide to explore massive rock formations exposed at the Earth’s surface, created by the forces of the San Andreas Fault deep below. Here, rocks appear to balance precariously on one another, caught in a battle between gravity and subterranean forces. A 30-minute optional guided walk is available here.
- Intersection Rock - This iconic rock formation is a favorite among rock climbers in the park. Marvel at the climbers as they tackle the challenges of the vertical world.
- Barker Dam Trail - Embark on an optional hike with your Wilderness guide on this trail originally established by cowboys. This path will lead you past Indian petroglyphs and a water source used by high-elevation Bighorn Sheep and deer.
This area is surrounded by 20 million-year-old Miocene rock formations, a renowned destination for expert rock climbers worldwide.
- Keys View - Be amazed by a view that stretches for hundreds of miles. From this high vantage point in Joshua Tree, you can see as far as the Salton Sea and even down to Mexico on a clear day.
You might even spot your hotel from this escarpment that borders the famous San Andreas Fault. Look below this ledge where we will pause, and you will see the fault line itself, stretching over 800 miles.
