- Palomino - On this tour, a guide will pick you up on a motorbike, which will serve as your transport for part of the journey. Following this, you’ll embark on a 40-minute hike through the lush forest surrounding Palomino. During the hike, the guide will provide a brief lesson on the area’s flora and fauna. If you’re fortunate and the sky is clear, you’ll have the opportunity to view the two most prominent peaks of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta: Simon Bolivar and Colon peaks.
Once prepared, you’ll take your floating tubes and life jackets to drift downstream the Palomino River. The route includes some rapids, but you’ll also enjoy a serene journey down the river amidst nature. Ultimately, you’ll arrive at the mouth of the Palomino River, where it converges with the Caribbean Sea.
