Fun and efficient day - Great way to spend the day on the lake! Got to see many different towns and it was nice to have it all organized. Our guide was very friendly and informative and went out of her way to made sure we enjoyed the trip and had all of our questions answered. This is perfect for anyone with limited time on the lake that wants to make the most of it, would recommend!

Good trip at great value - Our guide was great and overall this was a great experience. The tour did not start on time until all passengers were there, and I wish directions for pickup were clear. The boat ride was also very bumpy. But the value for the price paid was great

It was an excellent tour... - It was an excellent tour I like the variety of learning about honeybees and chocolate and textiles and whiskey. The different towns were unique all on Lake Atitlan. The guide was excellent, and the people were friendly. The colorful dress was memorable as was everything about that tour. I highly recommend.

Great tour with Pablo! - There’s so much more to this tour than just checking out the different villages! In San Juan we got to try local honey, chocolate, and visited a Mayan herbal medicine shop. In Santiago, lunch was at Restaurante Cafe Luna Azul - nice menu selection. We had the option to do a walking tour or a tuk tuk tour ($10 a person) that took you to a lookout point. The tuk tuk tour was nice and comfortable, We stopped at an art studio and the local church. The tuk tuk driver served as our guide for that part. Pablo was great answered any questions we had! Such a fun way to spend the day.

Fantastic Tour, necessary to navigate around and very insightful. Much better than going on your own! - Great trip! Made an account just to write this. We were going to book a boat trip at the docks and are so glad we went with the guides instead! For around the same price you get so much more with the guides. Azucena was great and very attentive. She explained each town we visited and their unique attributes. The tour involved meeting with the group and walking to the docks and taking a boat to San Pedro, San Juan and Santiago around the lake. The towns are so vibrant and the tour is well organized. We started walking through San Pedro and listening to Azucena explain things we pass and getting a look around before taking a short ride to the neighboring San Juan. They had organized a honey tasting of artisan honey made in the town at a co-op which had a lovely boutique of honey, cosmetics, and honey wines, tequilas, etc. Then we walked up an umbrella street with painted road to a Mayan weaving demonstration that showed how they process, dye, and weave their traditional fabrics. They had a store there that sold the clothing they make. From there e we had free time and Azucena recommended we visit a 16th century church before meeting back at the boat. From there we departed to Santiago and had lunch at a restaurant that took card. About that time it started raining very hard, but the guides were expecting this. They gave the option for free time or to take tuk-tuks between the next activities. It was 50 quetzales per person and the tuk-tuk driver was very nice and knew where to go and waited between activities. We visited a local home and saw a traditional combination of Catholic and ancient religion in action in the form of Maximo a kind of saint that you should look up! Probably one of the most unique things we’ve ever seen. From there we went to the cathedral in town, and then to a very talented local painters shop before heading back to Panajachel. This is not your typical “excursion” this is far more unique and it allowed us to experience more of the area than we would have been able to due to not knowing about the activities that are available in the first place, how to navigate around, and the English/ Spanish/ Mayan languages being spoken would have made it tricky to get by. We typically don’t use local guides and kind of just wing it when traveling, in this situation it was far better with the group. Highly recommend this for anyone who wants to take a tour around lake Atitlan!
