Great way to experience area - The food tour was a great way of learning about the history of the area, visiting different places and enjoying some delicious food. We wouldn’t have found these places on our own, or known where to ‘wander’. There was also plenty of food!! Tip- we opted for ‘vegetarian’ as opposed to fish/seafood and chicken to be on the safe side (we’d experienced poorly tummy elsewhere earlier in our hol!) However, we think we probably missed out on some of the great and signature dishes of the restaurants so go for these if you can.

A North Goa experience to remember. - Awesome experience with Mrs. Vimala who was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the Latin quarters and Portuguese influence in Goa. My time with Iris at his family home made and indelible impression. The potatoe soup during the tour was by far my best dish.

Latin Quarter Food Trail - A delightful walk through Goa’s flavours and stories The Latin Quarter Food Trail is a beautifully curated walking experience through Fontainhas that blends food, history, and local culture effortlessly. As a walker, I loved the relaxed pace — enough time to soak in the vibrant Portuguese-style houses, narrow lanes, and hidden stories of Panaji. The food stops were thoughtfully chosen, offering authentic Goan flavours that felt rooted in tradition rather than commercialised. Each tasting came with context — why the dish matters, how it evolved, and its connection to Goan life — which made the experience much richer than just a food walk. What truly stood out was the guide Vimala Desouza's storytelling. Warm, knowledgeable, and engaging, they brought the Latin Quarter alive with anecdotes about architecture, families, festivals, and everyday life. It felt personal and immersive rather than scripted. Well-organised, friendly, and deeply satisfying, this trail is perfect for anyone who enjoys walking, culture, and discovering a place through its food. Highly recommended for both first-time visitors and Goans wanting to see Fontainhas with fresh eyes. This was our fourth trip from Makeithappen and as usual it wasa remarkable experience..

Great food and a great guide - We had the pleasure of our guide,Vimala, this afternoon. A really interesting experience with a mix of foods, with a specific bias towards the Portuguese influence. So much food! Sea bass was a stand out dish.

A delicious and insightful tour of the Latin Quarter - What an interesting and delicious experience! I joined the Latin Quarter Food Trail with Vimala, and it truly exceeded my expectations. She’s such an amazing storyteller — I learned so much about the history of Panjim, especially from the table and kitchen perspective. We tasted some incredible local dishes along the way. Highly recommended for foodies and anyone curious to explore Goan culture through its flavors.

FOODGASM with culture dose through Make it Happen! - Make it Happen has curated this tour to the next level!!! Very well curated and very well managed by our host - Rachana Pednekar! She is an amazing storyteller and can charm you with her words and her knowledge of the region and the food of Goa! Highly recommended. Extreme value for money and you can’t miss this if you want to understand the culture of Goa through its food! All the places that we had gone were amazing and I client have found them on my own. In couple of places the owner walked up herself and made it more special!!!
