Biking in Panama - I rented bikes with my son here during a recent stay in Panama. I don't speak much Spanish, but the girl working here (Ada) was very helpful and accommodating. The bikes we rented were in good shape and we were given helmets and a lock. After our bike ride we needed help arranging a ride back to our hotel and Ada set us up. Our overall experience here was great! This shop has tons of bikes and cycles for multiple passengers.

Our group of over 30 guests had informed your team well in advance of our arrival. While we understand that you do not accept formal reservations, we were assured that you could accommodate us. Unfortunately, that was far from the case. ### Key Issues: * *Insufficient Staffing:* Upon arrival, only one staff member was available to check in more than 30 individuals, causing significant delays and confusion. * *Misinformation on Equipment:* We were specifically told that you had *plenty of automatic Golf Carts* available. In reality, only *two* were present. This was particularly disappointing, as *over 12 guests could not ride at all*—manual bikes were not a suitable option for our group. * *Undisclosed $200 Cash Deposit:* At no point before our arrival were we told about a *$200 CASH deposit requirement*. As EXPATS, we do not routinely carry large amounts of cash, and this should have been communicated upfront. It significantly impacted our group's ability to proceed smoothly. ### Why This Matters: We host public group events for a growing global community of EXPATS and travelers, and our YouTube channel, *DEMBUTLERS, has over **9,000 subscribers*. Our audience relies on our recommendations and experiences to plan their own adventures in Panama. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we cannot in good conscience recommend Burke’s Bikes for large groups at this time. ### Suggestions for Improvement: To better accommodate large groups in the future, we strongly encourage you to: 1. *Offer Group Paperwork in Advance:* Share waivers and ID upload requirements beforehand. 2. *Implement a Prepaid Reservation System:* Allow for booking deposits to ensure equipment and staff availability. 3. *Clearly Communicate All Fees & Deposits Upfront:* Including *cash-only* policies. 4. *Ensure Adequate Staffing & Inventory for Group Bookings:* Even if reservations aren’t standard practice. We would love to work with local businesses like yours and support tourism in Panama, but professionalism and preparation are key. no good bikes,no good prices - they rent uncomfortable and heavy bicycles, they have grips that came off, without basket. 15 dollars for 2 hours is too much

Don’t rent their bikes they don’t do refunds - Really bad experience their bikes don’t work the chain kept coming off and they don’t do refunds even do you are a tourist they don’t care.
