Amazing tour! Must do in Panama - AMAZING experience! Don’t be discouraged by the people saying that it’s not an actual chocolate making class. As you’ll learn in the class, the process of making chocolate from start to finish takes a very very long time. But I loved what we were able to do in the class and how much I learned. Friendly host, got to try lots of chocolates and I had a blast!

Highly recommend for chocolate making - Our family of five had so much fun learning about how cacao is made into chocolate, while supporting a small local business. The chocolate bars were delicious and a great souvenir to bring home.

The Nome owner and tour... - The Nome owner and tour guide was enthusiastic, passionate and very knowledgeable about his craft. I especially love how the team works together to get the job done. The store is absolutely beautiful!

It’s interesting to learn... - It’s interesting to learn about the lengthy, labor intensive process of making chocolate. However, because the entire process is so long you don’t really ‘make’ any chocolate, but rather just pour your own bar. It’s good…and, different samples tasting at the end is good, too.

It’s not what it used to be. - In 2024, Nomé was a great little chocolate factory, a dynamic team, an interactive presentation in the heart of the chocolate factory, in short a must-see place where we regularly brought our visiting friends. Then the direction to change, the former manager went to Austria with her knowledge and smile and the chocolate factory moved close to the Church in the main square. The welcome is today hardly kind not to say unpleasant. The demonstration is interesting, but not of the same calibre and takes place outside the lab which is a shame. The interaction is greatly reduced compared to the previous direction. Finally, the prices took the elevator, and frankly, $35 per person for 30’ explanation and “his” small plate of chocolate are not worth it. Interesting on a rainy day, but it is certainly no longer the unavoidable experience that we experienced before. Too bad.

Better buy chocolate for the money - Too bad, loveless presentation and instead of 60 min it was only 40 min. You can only put the chocolate in the mold, otherwise everything is presentation at the table. A mini chocolate and every extra piece costs $5. This is more of a sales presentation. You don't have fun, and if you have artisans making noise, even watching isn't fun. You better buy chocolate for the money.
