For lunch, opt for our additional BBQ option or visit Contadora Island to dine at one of its local restaurants, offering fresh seafood along with international and Panamanian cuisine.

Family adventure to the pearl islands - We had an excellent day on the water in and around the pearl islands with our family of 6 (4 kids ages 11, 9, 7 and 3). The captain had us on the Mahi within minutes and we caught over 20 trolling with 5 lines in the water. The action was non stop. We landed a yellowfin tuna. Moses the first mate was handy with the tackle and landing the bigger fish. We took a break around lunch for snorkeling and beach exploring. That tuna turned into fresh sashimi and the Mahi into ceviche on the boat… it doesn’t get more fresh than that!
I highly recommend this trip over the shorter taboga trip if you can make the whole 8 hrs work.
This company has fishing charters down… well organized and professional with bilingual crew members. The vessel (38ft Todomar) is well kept and offers plenty of shade for an all day trip with younger kids. This could also be a suitable party boat if desired.
We highly recommend GEM charters and look forward to doing it again on our next visit to Panama.

Best Day Charter - Captain Miguel and Oscar were amazing! We were 2 families traveling together with kids - a group of 11 - and we had the best time! They were friendly and attentive and easy going and so much fun! Highly recommend this EXPIRIENCE!!

Perfect Day Fishing and Playing in the Gorgeous Waters of Panama - My family of three had the best day you can imagine with Captain Miguel and Oscar! We left a marina near Old Town Panama and headed out to the Pearl Islands. We fished our way there and back. Total we caught 9 huge Mahi! Miguel knew based on the way the water looked and how birds were behaving exactly where to go and he was right 100% of the time. Every time we reeled one in, everyone was so excited making it so much fun! Then we got to the Pearl Islands where I've never seen more beautiful water. Absolutely clear. My son immediately jumped in to snorkel and saw a stingray, an eel and a ton of beautiful fish. I played in the kayak and then explored the island and played in the water. While we enjoyed the beach, the crew cooked up some our mahi and made ceviche and corn, etc. We enjoyed an amazingly fresh and healthy meal in the most gorgeous spot I can imagine. Sadly we had to head back, but as we did, we caught more fish, celebrated every time. We also got a great dinner recommendation from Miguel. It couldn't have been a better day. It will be hard to beat.

Must do in Panama! - My family and I had an amazing time with GEM Charters! Jennifer and Eddie, the sales team, were so helpful and made everything easy for us.
We went to the stunning Las Perlas archipelago and had a blast! The crew was super professional and attentive, taking care of all our needs.
We spotted whales, did some snorkeling, and enjoyed fishing. It was an awesome day, and we'll always remember it.
Thanks to GEM Charters for making our trip so special! Can't wait to do it again! 5 stars all the way!

An Unforgettable Adventure with GEM Charters in Panama! - I recently had the most incredible experience with GEM Charters in Panama, and I can't recommend them enough! From the moment we embarked on our journey to the Pearl Islands, it was evident that we were in for an unforgettable adventure.
First and foremost, GEM Charters provided us with an exceptional fishing experience. We fished around the islands and explored the breathtaking Pearl Islands through island hopping and snorkeling. On the way there, we also saw stingrays jumping out of the water; it was truly magical.
We caught various fish, including Spanish mackerel, snapper, and amberjack. The expertise of the crew was evident, they were also super friendly and made us a ceviche with our mackerel, extremely delicious. The boat was comfortable and well-equipped, ensuring our utmost enjoyment throughout the journey.
I must extend my heartfelt appreciation to Eddie for his exceptional assistance during the booking process. He was extremely helpful and responsive, answering all our questions and ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish. Eddie's professionalism and dedication made us feel confident in choosing GEM Charters for our adventure.
Last but certainly not least, the crew on board our charter was phenomenal. Moises and Captain Alexis were friendly and approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Their passion for the ocean and its inhabitants was infectious. We felt safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout our journey.

Amazing day with GEM Charters! - Our family had an incredible experience with GEM charters on our trip to the Pearl Islands. As seasoned charter travelers, we can confidently say that this was our best experience yet. The crew was accommodating and attentive, and we enjoyed exploring the islands. Our group consisted of three adults and three children, ages 12, 10, and 6. All 6 of us brought in multiple fish and enjoyed the freshly made ceviche. Captain Miguel kept an eye out for dolphins and, sure enough, we say many of them on our way back. We felt comfortable and safe at all times. We would highly recommend GEM charters for anyone seeking top-notch charter experience.

Consistently Amazing - GEM charters and Captain Miguel always succeed in delivering magical experiences. As repeat customers, we highly recommend their services. Captain Miguel's extensive experience and knowledge of the best spots for big fish, whale watching, snorkeling, and secret locations make every trip unforgettable. For example, during our most recent trip, we went fishing. We had a fantastic time, although we all had little experience, getting lots of Mahis, Snappers, Mackerels, and tuna Bonita. We also enjoyed a delicious ceviche made with our super fresh catch. With GEM charters, you're guaranteed a memorable excursion you'll treasure forever.
