Highly recommended active hiking tour. - If you are looking for an active participation tour rather than one that just drops you off for quick photo ops at tourist traps, this is definitely the one. Our family of four was picked up by tour director Luis Franco and we met up with just one more couple before the two-hour drive from Panama City to the Anton Valley. Throughout the ride Luis provided commentary. At the starting point of the morning hike we were met by local guide Gilma Martinez. This first hike took us through the rainforest past hieroglyphs and waterfalls to the top where there was an excellent view of the extinct crater. It became apparent pretty quickly that there was a big difference in hiking ability between our group and the other couple, but that was no problem as we went ahead with Gilma while Luis followed with the two others at a slower pace. Gilma was fluent in English and she was able to spot wildlife for us to admire from a distance. Lunch was on our own, but Luis had made reservations for us ahead of time. His pick was outstanding and yet affordable. After lunch we were met by ATV's that took us to the starting point of the second hike. Again we split up by ability. Since we were faster, we actually managed 1.5 hikes. From the mountain tops we again had a great view of the valley below and could see the high rises along the Pacific coast resorts in the far distance. After our descent the ATVs took us to waiting vans that brought us and the other couple separately back to our respective hotels. Once more Luis provided commentary in our van and also suggestions for the rest of our stay in Panama. Overall this was a great experience and is most highly recommended.

Top Notch Tour! - Lucked out and ended up getting a private tour as there were no other bookings. Luis is an amazing and experienced guide, my partner and I felt very well taken care of. He is well connected and was able to get us a last minute reservation at a popular restaurant in the area for lunch. He's also a great conversationalist. We learned a lot about the Anton Valley region and living in Panama in general.
As it is a hiking tour, some level of physical fitness is required. Alltrails rates the La India Dormida and Cerro la Silla hikes as moderate difficulty which I think is accurate. The heat and humidity can be challenging and both trails can be slippery due to mud and loose rocks, respectively, but neither are overly technical.
Overall, I think this tour is an amazing choice for those who are less interested in the typical tourist offerings in the area and would like to spend more time in nature enjoying the beautiful views that Anton Valley has to offer.

Beautiful views - The experience was wonderful. While Luis was unable to your guide for the day (we did have other guides who were great), Luis ensured our day was PERFECT!
The hike was spectacular. A hike through three different types of forest up the mountain about 1,000 feet. Once we got to the top, we were in awe of the beauty of the Anton valley. Additionally, we were not rushed at all which allowed us to enjoy the summit.
Then we were wiped away to a tasty meal at a restaurant high up in the mountain. Great view, exceptional service and tasty food. Extremely affordable too!!
The day ended at the market (we chose to skip the last short hike to ensure we could get back to the city earlier - a request that was kindly granted by our guide). The market had some nice gifts for us to bring home.
Luis is a fantastic individual and I highly recommend this tour.

Great time with Ride Me - We had a wonderful day with Ride Me Panama hiking the India Dormida i Cerro Silla. The hike was a moderate level and took us in total about 3 hours of hiking.

absolutely fantastic day exploring Valle de Antón - We had an absolutely fantastic day exploring Valle de Antón thanks to our amazing guide Luis! If you are looking for someone who truly knows these mountains, look no further.
The highlight was definitely the La India Dormida (Sleeping Indian) trail. Our guide’s paced the steep sections perfectly, ensuring we were safe and comfortable while pointing out hidden details like the ancient petroglyphs at Piedra Pintada and beautiful waterfalls along the way.
Luis made the entire experience feel personalized and special. He was coordinating with us before the trip and helped us customize the trip for our needs. Thanks for making this such a memorable experience for us.

Hiking Adventure! - We had an incredible time on our day trip to Valle De Anton! Highly recommend. Luis and his team were extremely professional, personable, friendly and fun to be around. They had excellent communication prior to and the morning of the tour and arrived on time. Luis is so sweet and knowledgeable! He immediately made us feel comfortable and he answered all questions we had about Panama in general. He speaks excellent English and made the two hour trip from Panama City to Anton valley go by in a flash. The actual hike itself was incredible with stunning views that were very rewarding. Luis and Hilma (local guide) did an amazing job at helping us feel safe and comfortable as they took us up. Shout out to Paula for driving us there safely. We were also fortunate to have most of the trail and the viewpoints to ourselves with good weather. They also supplied us with plenty of water and electrolytes and accommodated us by taking us to a good vegetarian restaurant in the area. We greatly enjoyed our time. This is a genuine company/ team that truly wants to share what their amazing country has to offer.

The best! - Luis was fantastic. He was flexible, communicative, had perfect English for those who need it, knowledgeable and we always felt like we were taken care of. Him and his team were a true representation of warm, Panamanian hospitality. We had so much fun - 5 out of 5!!!

Incredible experience! Very recommended!!! - The entire experience from beginning to end was amazing! From the booking process to the communication to the actual experience. Service was great, the transfer from Panama City was smooth, felt safe, which was extremely important for us. We were accompanied by Luis Franco, our transfer coordinator and we had a great conversation along the way. We got to Anton and we were transported on a UTV to where the hike started. Our guide Gilma was great! She is local to the area so she was very knowledgeable and we saw amazing sceneries. It was definitely an experience worth doing. I truly recommend it!!
