• Amador Causeway (Calzada de Amador) - The second stop is the picturesque Amador Causeway, a lovely waterfront area that connects four small islands at the Pacific entrance of the Panama Canal. Here, visitors can enjoy a stroll around the Biomuseo, designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry, and learn about Panama’s incredible biodiversity and its crucial role in linking North and South America. Along the causeway, the famous Panama City sign offers a perfect photo opportunity with the skyline as a backdrop. While exploring, keep an eye out for a two-toed sloth in the surrounding trees, providing a memorable wildlife encounter. This stop combines history, nature, and stunning views, offering a comprehensive sense of Panama’s cultural and natural heritage.
• Casco Viejo - The first stop is the historic Casco Viejo, the heart of Panama City’s old town and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Established in 1673 after the original city of Panamá was destroyed by pirates, this charming neighborhood is filled with cobblestone streets, colorful colonial buildings, and beautiful plazas. As visitors walk through the area, they will see stunning churches, government buildings, boutique shops, and lively cafés, all reflecting Panama’s rich history and cultural blend of Spanish, French, and indigenous influences. Casco Viejo is a photographer’s paradise, offering countless spots for capturing the beauty of the city’s architecture and vibrant street life. The tour begins at 1:00 PM from RIU Playa Blanca Resort, with a scenic 90-minute drive to Panama City via the Pan-American Highway, offering breathtaking mountain views.

The first destination is the Miraflores Visitor Center at the Panama Canal, where visitors can enjoy an IMAX movie and watch large ships pass through the locks.

Following this, the tour proceeds to Casco Antiguo, the historic old town. A bilingual guide will lead a walking tour through its charming cobblestone streets, colonial buildings, and vibrant plazas. There will also be an opportunity to enjoy snacks, coffee, or a small pastry.

The tour then moves to the Amador Causeway, providing spectacular views of the Biomuseo’s exterior, ideal for photography. Visitors can also capture a memorable photo with the Panama City sign while enjoying the stunning view of the Bay of Panama.

The tour concludes with a return to RIU Playa Blanca Resort, with an estimated arrival time of around 7:00 PM, though traffic may extend the return to approximately 9:00 PM.
