• Soberania National Park - The Pipeline Road is an old service road constructed by the US Army during WWII. It was later abandoned and reclaimed by the rainforest, but reopened in 1988 by the Smithsonian to provide scientists with a safe place to study the diverse tropical environment, including its wildlife, plants, and trees. The road stretches 17 kilometers, but the hike is limited to 5 hours. The trail is mostly flat and easy, though it can be somewhat muddy during the rainy season.
