Informative and flexible - Our guide, Hector, was great about accommodating our requests (the type of info my parents wanted to hear more about). Although I'd already done research about the history of the area, I learned plenty that was new to me. Those interested in booking this activity should know that it includes going outside of Casco Viejo to the neighborhoods of Santa Ana and El Chorrillo, which would be considered unsafe to walk around without a guide, though we definitely walked around safer areas in those neighborhoods full of families playing and elderly people hanging out. Also, it wasn't one of those less respectful tours where people go and kind of gawk at the working class people; we just walked through some main streets and talked about the history and social context.

Book this tour! 😉 - I made a reservation a week before my trip and stayed in Panama as a stopover for a whole day. I found this walkable tour in Casco vieja with description of "unique", there I met Juan and he really kept his word! A very unique and wise person, he taught me a lot about Panamanian culture and its corners that usually one as a tourist, would not do. I really enjoyed my tour and will be booking more when I return soon! Thanks for everything Juan! Keep shining! 😊

Great neighborhood tour of Panama City - This was an amazing tour! Juan was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. He knew history, biology, politics and so much more and he is clearly well-respected in the community. I saw so many neighborhoods and learned so much that I never could have known nor traversed safely on my own. He made the tour safe and the final stop at the Fish Market had the best ceviche of my life! Just fantastic!

Great private tour as we... - Great private tour as we were the only ones signed up. We arrived in Panama in the afternoon and this was the perfect tour to fill the rest of our day to kickstart our vacation. Our guide Hector offered us a historical perspective to the real Panama that your can't get in the gentrified tourist zones.

It wasn’t what we were... - It wasn’t what we were expecting. As first time visitors to Casco Viejo we were expecting to spend the tour time mainly in Casco Viejo and see historic sites in Casco Viejo and be shown important sites within Casco Viejo.
