Wonderful views and a breathtaking trip to the monastery - We had a brilliant day trip. Our guide was super helpful and fun and we got some amazing views over the hills and mountains.
To top it off, the Buddhist monastery was breathtaking. Such a cool thing to see... we weren't expecting it at all.
We would definitely recommend.

Thank you Subash!! - I am very glad I have spent such a lovely day hiking towards the Namobuddha monastery and discovering the beautiful green valley around it, an oasis of peace and beauty away from Kathmandu. Subash, my guide, was not only knowledgeable in describing every detail of the cultural, political and religious life of the region, but also very generous in human terms. He rediscussed with the agency in my favour some unclear conditions about meals between Tripadvisor and Viator. He even spoiled by buying me oranges on our way back as soon as he heard that I had not been eating fruit for a long time! I couldn’t ask for more, thank you!!🙏

Real Nepalese and Buddhist experience outside of the city - The guide has such a passion for local Nepalese culture and encourages new experiences on the tour. He even spontaneously organised me to cook lunch (dal bhat) with the locals! I loved doing something for a day that was outside the city, in local towns (seeing ‘real Nepal’) and experiencing something new and not traditionally touristy. The guide was very knowledgeable about the monastery and both Hindu and Buddhist religions, so I learned so much. Everything was well organised but also flexible - we stopped for masala tea multiple times. Thank you!

Loved it - . Pradeep was our guide, he was so nice & very informative. We loved this one day hiking trip..It was a 16km easy walk up to the monastery.Unfortunately for us it was a very cloudy day so we didn’t get to see all the amazing views along the way, but once we were up there the views were awesome. The monastery was just beautiful & lunch was great..Would highly recommended this tour for anyone who wants to get out of the busy city.

Great way to start Nepal experience - Just finish the tour and it was awesome.. just what we were looking for to get us started on Nepal experience. Our guide Pradeep was very informative and his knowledge was impressive.. our driver Ravi was great as well and felt very safe travelling through the chaos of Nepal traffic.. together Pradeep and Ravi made a great team.
Hiking through villages, and thru villages back yards and the hills was a cultural experience.. not hard walk so could soak it all in. We stopped for lunch at Phoolbari, means flower garden, in a village over looking the hills, it was very picturesque and traditional food is always a must experience.. it was delicious.
Thank you for a fantastic day hiking.

A great day hike outside of Kathmandu and wonderful site to learn about. - Shankar and Ravi made a great team and helped to make the Namobuddha tour wonderful. We hiked a combination of roads and trails, and enjoyed beautiful views of the valleys between Dhulikhel and the Monastery at Namobuddha. Shankar was a wealth of knowledge and helped to add religious and cultural perspectives for the sites, stupas, Temple and Monastery along thr way. If you want to experience a slightly challenging day hike outside of Kathmandu, which includes a cultural and historical experience I definitely recommend this tour!

Great tour of the countryside and Namobuddha. - After the mayhem of Kathmandu, it was refreshing to have a quiet walk through the countryside on our way to the Namobuddha monastery. It was like stepping back in time to see the the cutting of rice plants and setting them up in sheaves like wheat. The rice was laid out on tarps to dry in the sun. Namobuddha monastery was shiny and beautiful on top of a hill, giving nice views of the valley below. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a nice walk away from the hustle of Kathmandu. Madon was a friendly and knowledgeable guide, and he gave us a good summary of Nepalese history and politics. The tour was a bit longer than advertised, but we were happy to have more time with Madon.

Amazing hike! - It was a lovely route that went through local villages and a monastery as well as plenty of beautiful viewpoints of the Kathmandu valley! The guide Neeraj and driver Govinda were super kind and welcoming! They made sure that I wouldn’t hesitate if I had any questions and were very knowledgeable about a large number of topics. Would definitely recommend to anyone up for a lovely hike!

The Namobuddha Monastery... - The Namobuddha Monastery is a site well worth a visit. Perched high on a hilltop with a 360° view, one can't help but feel that there is something special about this place. Arriving on foot, after a 2-3 hour hike, makes it even more meaningful. Unfortunately, the day I visited the air wasn't clear and I did not see the white peaks of the Himalayan range. Instead, I saw firsthand the devastation of the recent floods and landslides.
