Lovely And Insightful Walking Tour Of Papeete - We greatly enjoyed our walking tour of Papeete guided by Christian! He provided valuable history and culture of Tahiti and other islands throughout many eras that enhanced our knowledge and understanding of French Polynesia. As well, he was personable and solicitous. I certainly recommend this tour especially as an introduction to this beautiful area of the world.

Get grounded in Tahiti - start with this tour! - We had a great time with Christian, a great way to learn history and get grounded before visiting and being tourists around the island. We luckily scored a private tour and Christian was very accommodating of our two young children (traveling mostly in a wagon unless they insisted on walking) even offering to carry the baby and helping them NOT run into traffic many times 😂. He customized the tour to our interests and also answered all the questions we had! He truly went above and beyond ending the tour at a playground and then helping my husband move his car from the city to closer to the gardens / playground. We learned a lot about Tahiti! We also went at 4pm which ended up being a great time for a family with young children to go because the streets were empty and we could really take our time and didn’t feel like we are in the way. It also was a bit cooler!

Excellent tour with... - Excellent tour with Christian. Christian was very informative and patient in answering lots of questions from our group.

Pape'ete is a vibrant and bustling town - We took a two-hour guided walking tour through Papeete stopping at Notre Dame Cathedral, the majestic Town Hall, the French Polynesia Government Building and a amble through Bougainville Park with all sorts of flora and fauna, ponds with coy fish and a beautiful statue of a Polynesian woman. In addition, we passed crowded marketplaces, pearl shops and vendors of hand-dyed cloth and ready-to-wear tropical flowered shirts and dresses. The walk was easy and thoroughly enjoyable. This was a great introduction to Tahiti and the French Polynesian capital city.

This was an excellent... - This was an excellent walking tour that gave us a good overview of Papeete and some of the history of French Polynesia. Christian did a great job.

Perfect blend of information - Christian gave an excellent tour! The perfect blend of history, culture and local advice. And, he grew up in one of the areas we toured. Very personal. Highly recommend!

Fun walking tour. - The guide was knowledgeable and informative. He was flexible and pleasant. I learned a lot of information about the town that was interesting and worth spending a few hours walking around the area.

Tour Papeete with a local who grew up there - Christian was born and raised in Papeete near the hotel that you were staying at. He has a local's perspective on history and the government. Quite different than you will read on signs or on the government tours. We did find the Queen's house as well as some government buildings and a lovely bathing area that the queen used to use that we would not have seen without Christian. He is very patient and we asked a lot of questions. I would recommend this for newcomers to Papeete.

Local knowledgeable guide - Our guide was born in Papeete and integrated general history with his family experience and his story of growing up in the community. Excellent insight into many facets of local life.
