Fantastic Visit to Monet's Gardens in Giverny - My husband and I booked the Giverny small group half day trip operated by Blue Fox Tours and highly recommend! Our meeting place was at a small cafe near the Arc de Triomphe and we each enjoyed a capuccino while we waited for our tour to begin. Our tour guide Oliver was efficient and organized getting everyone checked in and loaded into the mini-van and we were very pleased with his wealth of knowledge of the history of Paris and the countryside surrounding us as we made our way to Giverny and Monet's Gardens. Oliver made the travel time fly by as he told very interesting stories that were filled with historical facts about what we were seeing. His great sense of humor also entertained us all and many laughs were shared along the way. Once we arrived in Giverny Oliver walked us through the quaint village and we stopped at the church where Monet's funeral carriage was displayed. We also visited the graveyard where he was buried along with many of his family members. Oliver regaled us with the stories of these individuals as well. As we made our way to Monet's house and gardens we heard stories about locations in the village that really brought the time period during Monet's lifetime alive for us all. Monet's house and gardens did not disappoint. The flowers were in full bloom (the tulips were absolutely stunning) and the pond and surrounding pathways didn't disappoint. It was a bit more crowded than we would have liked but the house and gardens more than made up for the crowds. We highly recommend this adventure and be sure to request Oliver from Blue Fox Tours. He was a phenomenal guide.

Great gardens - Well done. Guide was good. Property was beautiful but needed more time, weren’t able to view the house because so many tours were there at once.”loved the gardens!

A nice tour and beautiful gardens - The sites are definitely interesting and worth seeing. The gardens are absolutely beautiful. I do feel that the description is a little misleading as it talks states the guide will help you get great souvenir photos at the water lillies. That would have been nice but the guide does not accompany you into the gardens or house. I also took a previous tour with a private guide and learned so much more about the garden, Giverny and Monet. It's a nice tour but not exceptional.
