Teenager loved it - Wonderful experience! My teenage son’s favorite activity in Paris. Excellent teacher and guide for us during our bakery experience. Highly recommend.

10 out of 10. We'd do it again! Charming teacher. - Based on other's experiences, we decided to add this to our busy Paris vacation and I'm so glad we did! The teacher was super engaging and funny. He had so much to share with both kids and grown ups. He was especially funny. The kids got a very hands on experience making baguettes, finistras, boules, and croissants. Come hungry because you are greeted with a plate full of bakery treats and drinks. You leave with items you made (minus the croissants, which taker longer to chill and proof). This tour was my 9 year old son's highlight of the trip. 10/10. We'd do it again.

This is a must do when in Paris! - What a fun way to spend a couple of hours. If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in a French bakery, this is your chance to see it and learn to make French pastries and bread! David was our instructor and he was fantastic! He provided lots of humor as he gently coached us through the steps for preparing madeleines, croissants and bread. The day started with the proprietor of the bakery lavishing us with pastries and cappuccinos (or hot chocolate) as we waited for the lesson to begin. Delicious! We then moved through the many levels inside the building where David provided a really enjoyable experience! He was the best. I highly recommend this one and I definitely recommend David! We had an amazing time!

Great Experience with Family of 5 - Excellent experience for the family. The baker was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. He did a great job tailoring the tour to our kids. Highly recommend to others if you are looking for a great family activity and want to pick up Parisian culture along the way.

This was a great little... - This was a great little workshop that covered a lot in the amount of time given! The workers and teachers were all very friendly and the food was delicious. It was a fun experience by myself but also would have been great to do as a group/with a friend.

Disappointing.... - We had a nice time, but it was not what was expected or advertised. The night before this class, we got a notification that the location was changed. The class ended up being held in an extremely small bakery (the six of us could barely fit) that was also open for business. The whole time we were taking the class, we were being shuffled around so the workers could get coffees, etc. for patrons. We didn't get to make any dough, but simply got to roll a couple of different types of bread and make one small cookie type by piping the already created batter into molds. The entire class lasted maybe an hour at most. While our host was very friendly, it was definitely not the class that was promised.

Fun experience and... - Fun experience and personable instructor. But very basic; if you're an experienced baker you'll not gain much.

Unhygienic, disorganised & misleading - Unfortunately, the experience fell significantly below what was advertised and expected. To begin with, we were directed to the wrong meeting location. Our booking clearly stated that we were to meet at Miss Manon; however, upon arrival and after being seated, we were informed that the class was overbooked. We were then instructed to travel a further 25 minutes via metro across Paris to an alternative location. This was already after the scheduled start time of 5:00pm, and as a result, we were told upon arrival that the lesson would need to be rushed due to time constraints. Upon arrival at the second location, we were met unprofessionally by an individual dressed casually in track pants, who openly stated she was not a chef, trained baker, or “master French baker” as advertised, but merely a tour guide. This was extremely misleading. The class itself was disorganised and lacked basic standards. There was no soap to wash our hands before handling food, and there was a cat present in the bakery licking the baking trays, raising genuine hygiene concerns. There was no tour of the bakery as promised. In terms of the activities, we only made financiers, which was not reflective of the advertised experience. When it came to baguettes, we spent approximately 30 minutes simply watching a bakery staff member with no explanation or engagement while waiting for workspace availability. We were then briefly shown how to roll croissants before being told the class was finished. Additionally, several advertised inclusions were not provided: - No pain au chocolat was made - No French breakfast was served; instead, we were given stale pastries that appeared to have been left out all day - No bakery tour took place Overall, the experience was disorganised, misleading, and did not deliver what was promised.
