- Extra measures may be implemented due to heightened global security. As a result, we may experience delays in getting through mandatory security checks when entering Notre Dame Cathedram. Extra measures may also restrict the size of bags that can be brought inside. Luggage and large bags are prohibited. Please note that all visitors will undergo security checks upon entry.
- The tour including the Cathedral lasts 1h30 and consists of a 1-hour guided walk followed by approximately 30 minutes of self-guided time inside the Cathedral.
- This tour involves a fair amount of walking, comfortable shoes are recommended.

Meet at the statue of Henri IV, in the middle of Pont Neuf- at the western end of Ile de la cite. Pont Neuf is the bridge that links Ile de la Cite to both the left and right banks of Paris. The statue is of a man on a horse sitting in the middle of the bridge. Nearest Metro: Pont Neuf (7) or Cite (4)

Absolutely lovely tour guide - Nate (Nathaniel) was our tour guide and was fantastic!! Even with the notre dame closed he still made it interesting and told stories of history that are interesting and not often heard. He dropped book recommendations and was genuinely friendly and wanting to help all on the tour. He braved the cold and was wonderful.

Walking Notre Dame island tour - Georgia...by far the best, most knowledgeable, animated, and fun tour guide we had on our entire trip and we did 5 guided excursions while we were here. All were great tours, but no one made it as special as Georgia did. Don’t let her go because whoever has her on the staff is sure to bring in the great reviews.

Brilliant intro to historical paris - Loved the tour, so interesting to hear about the original uses for some of the most famous buildings in Paris and how this has laid the foundation of parts of modern France. Tour guide Charlie was super knowledgeable and friendly, would recommend to anyone keen for a slightly different introduction to the city - or those who have been before and want a new perspective.

Rough start to the tour,... - Rough start to the tour, as the guide moved our group from the starting point down about 30 stairs to the park, and I had to choose to not go with the group due to having our baby in the stroller. The move was so she could speak without background noise (louder than probably typical for the time and area, but not too loud to speak over), but I asked her specifically what I should do with the stroller, and she said “oh it’s just a few steps” (I am now acutely curious about what the response would have been to someone in a wheelchair).
Then there was the obvious confusion. The whole first hour was her talking about history related to Sainte Chappelle, followed by her walking us to the entrance, and then her being corrected (either by a tour attendee or the ticket checker who said “uh this is the wrong place”) and ultimately guiding us down to Notre Dame, with very little associated commentary.
She also wasn’t great at speaking for the group. She would often speak toward the thing she wanted us to look at, and we couldn’t hear her.
Her knowledge and commentary was good, for the parts I could hear.
All together it seemed very unorganized and haphazard.
