• La Fontaine Cuvier - The Latin Quarter boasts the longest wine history of any neighborhood in the city. From the vineyards established by the Romans on Montagne Saint Geneviève, nurtured and expanded by Cistercian monks, through the Abbaye Saint Victor, the wine storage at Halle aux Vins, and the taverns of Place de la Contrescarpe and rue Mouffetard, wine has been integral to daily life for over 2000 years. Although the natural wine movement arrived later here than in other parts of the city, it is gradually taking hold, sparking a revival in innovative cuisine.

This tour offers an insider’s exploration of two hidden vineyards. It features an ‘al fresco’ sparkling wine tasting, designed to delight your palate and engage all your senses, along with visits to some of the city’s most iconic monuments. The wine tasting, held in a genuine, traditional wine bar, includes 3 wines, each paired with food.

Beginning in the second oldest park in Europe, where one of the city’s hidden vineyards is discovered, the journey continues past the site where the Abbaye Saint Victor once stood and where Parisian wines were stored until the 1950s. The first tasting takes place in another hidden vineyard, conducted outdoors.
