A Worthy Stop for Military History Enthusiasts - Two experiences are the draw here -- the traditional displays of arms and armor that fill the museum galleries, and the tomb of Napoleon beneath the magnificent dome. The former is done in an old fashioned manner such as you likely have seen at other military and battlefield sites. The tomb commands a grand reverential space -- at once monumental in size and humble in its simple design. It is impossible not to feel majesty in its presence, two centuries after his death. And for all we have read, seen and studied about Napoleon, the experience of seeing his tomb sent us asking our Parisian friends exactly how he is perceived in France today. For history lovers, this and the Pantheon are necessary stops in your Paris itinerary.

Great history and weaponry on display - Great place to visit, even saw a military parade while we were there! Impressive amount of weapons and history and many old cannons. Totally worth a visit!

Important note: if you’re... - Important note: if you’re going before two you have to enter from the north side of the building. Apple Maps will take you to the south. Otherwise, loved the museum

Lovely place to visit - Overall great value for the entrance charge. Lots to see - though you can easily skip through the bits you’re less interested in. Free maps at the entrance in multiple languages. Well laid out & info boards cleverly set up so you can simply flip them over from French to English. Surprisingly not busy so easy to stop and see everything you wanted. The church is a stunner even without the attraction of napoleons tomb. There are lovely gardens as well and quaint coffee van and seating area. Very glad we visited.

Ticket purchase for tomb - Visit to napoleon tomb to see the church is nice only if you are an historian buff /enthusiast. The process of booking was easy and the lines for tickets were not long on site

Don’t waste your time - Half of the museum was closed. Exhibitions were poorly sign posted and the staff were rude (even if you speak French). On a positive note, the audio guide is good.

Napoleon’s Tomb - This was disappointing. I could not download the ticket. Had to repurchase at the gate. When I contacted the agency, Viator indicated that they could mot refund the money that I spent. So I had to pay twice to gain entrance.
