A beautiful day out from Paris - This was such a good time on every level - a beautiful day trip into gorgeous countryside outside Paris, and a thoroughly interesting conversation about the birth of Impressionism and life of Van Gogh set in the fields and villages that inspired both. Victor is a fantastic host - a lively and vivacious guide who is very well-versed in the subject matter and also a very kind and funny person in his own right. I am so glad I participated in this tour - I learned so much and came away with memories (and some stunning pictures) that will stay with me long after my return home from Paris. Merci beaucoup, Victor!

Exceptional tour, highly recommend - What a special one of a kind tour! Victor is an incredible tour guide, interesting, entertaining and warm; and the tour combines art and the outdoors and overall feels like spending the day inside an impressionist painting. Went with my 18 yr old daughter who loved it. Highly recommend.

Hiking with Art - This trip combines a beautiful country hike with information about the artists who lived in this area, especially Vincent Van Gogh. Victor clearly loves the Impressionists, especially Van Gogh. While I certainly could have looked up this route online and done this walk, Victor added so much context to the route, houses and villages, while keeping up a running history of Impressionism and Van Gogh’s life. I really enjoyed it! The walk is mostly flat with an uphill section.

Interactive fun tour - A long time local citizen and hiking enthusiast takes you on a hike through woods and open country and ponds to walk in the steps of Vincent's final three months. Thoughtfully prepared, interactive in nature, easy to follow ideas as presented, and very helpful and responsive in logistics, we sincerely recommend this tour. You can -- on your own -- continue your own exploration after Victors tour to visit two other amazing places not on Victors tour -- 1) Vincent's death room (30 minutes) and 2) a 20 minute walk through the village to a self guided tour of Dr Gachets home 1 hour), finding your own way home on a later train to return to Nord.

Excellent! - Great half-day trip. Victor has prepared detailed information to make the already bright journey even more exciting. Too many amazing stories, too many moving images. Recommended for everyone who loves Van Gogh and is interested in Impressionist painting. Great half-day trip. The best part of my trip! - This was, without a doubt, my favorite thing I did on my trip to Paris. Victor is such a thoughtful and engaging tour guide. He knows the area and history so well, and keeps the group's interest every step of the way. He keeps the group size small, which is great, as he spends time during the tour getting to know everyone, and finding ways to connect the history with their interests. The story of Van Gogh is such a moving one, and it is incredibly powerful to walk through the area where he spent the end of his life. What I wasn't expecting from the write-up was how much we would learn about the more general history of impressionism. I left feeling both a deeper connection to the Van Gogh story, along with a stronger appreciation for art history in general. I can't recommend this tour enough! Whether you're already a Van Gogh die-hard and think you know the full story already, are a casual fan of art, or are just looking for a fun way to learn something new while spending time outside, I guarantee you will have a fulfilling experience.

Victor was the best! He... - Victor was the best! He taught us Van Gogh’s story in an engaging and interesting way. He knows everything there is to know about Van Gogh and Impressionism. The towns we hiked through are preserved, so quaint, beautiful and as old as from the 1600-1700s. I am not someone typically interested in art but found this walking tour to be so well thought out and special. Highly recommend. We met at 7:50 and got back to Paris between 2:30/3:00. Victor planned ahead and asked me if I wanted to change the tour to a day with better weather which I did and so appreciated.
