10 days in Bhutan - I’m wrapping up an incredible 10-day journey through Bhutan and couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. From the mountains to the monasteries, this trip has been filled with beauty, peace, and adventure. A very special thank you to my amazing team: Deki, who planned the tour, our driver Nima and guide Phub Tshering. Nima has been the calmest, safest driver I could imagine on Bhutan’s winding roads. Always kind, patient, and attentive. And Phub Tshering has been a thoughtful guide, sharing Bhutan’s history, culture, philosophy, and traditions in a way that made every stop meaningful. Over these days we hiked stunning trails, joined the evening prayers at a nunnery (a truly moving experience), visited a local farm, and even went rafting surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. Bhutan has a way of staying with you, and thanks to Nima and Phub Tshering, this trip has been smooth, joyful, and unforgettable.

Best of Bhutan - I had been dreaming of this trip for a very long time and Best Bhutan Inbound was the right decision for our 8D/7n visit. My husband and I always travel independently, and we had some reservations about an organised tour but our guide Tenzin Loday and driver Sha Wangchuk were fabulous. Tenzin was very knowledgeable and generous in sharing the Bhutanese culture based on its deep Buddhist beliefs. He was patient with our many questions, flexible with our changes to itinerary and extremely good humoured for the many hours we spent together. We had the right mix of sightseeing, learning, temples, hiking and relaxing. We have left with deep insight and respect for this small kingdom and its people. Mr Wangchuk navigated the windy mountain roads comfortably and safely, avoiding the many ‘cow jams’ with ease and was always on hand with a ready smile and a great chuckle. Inbound recommended amazing hotels for our luxury tour and between the hotels, food, the hospitality of the people, Tenzin and Sha we had the most incredible week. We have been fortunate to visit many places but my husband and I agree - Bhutan is in our top 2!

Best of Bhutan - My friend and I booked a 10 days/9 nights trip to experience the nature and culture of Bhutan. The team was very professional and addressed all our concerns before we departed for the trip. We were well received by our guide, Namgay and driver, Inda. Namgay was knowledgeable and patient yet he also has a very fun personality which made our trip interesting. He was flexible with our itinerary and ensured that we truly enjoy our trip everyday. Our driver, Inda, was very sweet, driving us from Paro to Thimphu, Phobjikha, Bumthang, Punakha and back to Paro safely and with a smile. Both of them went above and beyond so that we had the best Bhutanese experience possible. We definitely would recommend using them for your Bhutan trip.

Highly recommend this trip! It was absolutely incredible. - Wow, we had the most amazing time! Bhutan is truly beautiful - the people, culture and incredible natural beauty. We loved it all and honestly wouldn't have changed a single thing about our trip. Our tour guide Tandin Dorji made the trip incredible. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. We traveled with my parents (in their upper 60s), my husband and I (early 40s) and my three children (7, 9 and 11) and everyone enjoyed our trip. Our driver, Jigme did wonderful on those windy mountain roads. My youngest daughter easily gets car sick and she did great with his driving. We couldn't recommend this trip with Tandin and Jigme enough.

Stunning Bhutan day hikes and cultural discovery trip - My husband and I joined two friends on a 10 day cultural discovery and day hike tour in Bhutan. The trip was well organised by Third Rock Adventures and our guide Ugyen was first class. He was very knowledgable and taught us a great deal about the Buddhist culture and ancient landmarks, answering our many questions throughout the trip. Our driver, Gele, was superb, professionally navigating our minibus, collecting and safely returning us to our overnight accommodation each day. The trip itself was wonderful and we will take many happy memories away with us of the hikes, monasteries, including Tiger’s Nest, hot stone baths and even an introduction to archery. Would highly recommend this trip.

5 Stars – An Magical Bhutan Experience! - I had the most incredible experience in Bhutan, all thanks to my amazing tour guide Namgay & driver Inda. From the start, he was warm, welcoming, and endlessly patient. His deep knowledge of Bhutanese culture and religion made every site visit so much more meaningful—I truly learned so much through his insightful sharing. One of the highlights was our trek to the iconic Tiger’s Nest. He prepared me thoroughly, encouraged me to go at my own pace, and even took stunning photos along the way that I’ll treasure forever. His support, kindness, and selfless dedication made the journey not only enjoyable but truly unforgettable. I’m deeply grateful for his guidance and would highly recommend this tour team to anyone visiting Bhutan. They made this trip one for the books!

It was an excellent trip to Bhutan (Phuentshillong, Thumpu, Punakha and Paro) for 6N/7D. Very well managed. - Bhutan trip (6N/7D)  We, six senior citizens (3 couples), went for a trip to a part of Bhutan, which was customized for our ease and convenience by the travel agency Nature Wings, permitting relaxation and comfort that we seek in such trips. For this type of trip we contacted a few travel agencies and finally selected the Nature Wings after being convinced by their approach. Our initial contact was Ms. Nilanjana Kundu, who after several telephonic and WhatsApp chats ensured that the trip will be tailor-made as per our need and comfort. Finally, as requested, all of us visited the office of Nature Wings at New Town, Kolkata carrying our passports and photographs. We had a meeting with Ms. Nilanjana where we met Ms. Takashi (a young Bengali lady) who happened to be our trip coordinator and turned out to be a real efficient one.                 We finalized our trip and the itinerary after some discussions. For making thee-permits, photographs of our passport etc. were taken in their mobiles by Ms. Nilanjana and Ms. Takashi with great efforts, which consequently proved to be useless since, we had to resend scanned copies of our passports and good quality photographs to Mr. Montu Karmakar for subsequent uploading in thee-permit portal of Bhutan. A suggestion: Nature Wings may have a documents scanner available in their office.                 Nature Wings booked the air tickets for the Kolkata-Bagdogra as well as the Paro-Kolkata sectors. And all the arrangements of our trip to Bhutan started after we were briefed by Mr. Raha about the culture and customs of Bhutan. Our round trip itinerary: Kolkata-Bagdogra (by air) - Phuentsholing (by car, overnight stay) - Thimpu (by car, 2 nights stay) – Punakha (by car, overnight stay) – Paro (by car, 2 nights stay) – Kolkata (by air). The tour package provided breakfast and dinner for all the days of our stay in Bhutan.                Our journey started on the morning of March16, 2025 from Kolkata airport. At Bagdogra airport we were greeted by our driver Mr. Kumar with his Inova car to take us to Phuentsholing as arranged by Nature Wings. On the way, at our request, he took us to the restaurant Motorists Inn (on NH27, Karjipara, Jalpaiguri) where we had a very good lunch with delicious Boroli fish curry. Late in the afternoon, we met our guide Ms. Januka, a lovely, cheerful young lady at Jaigaon, the border town in India. She took us to Phuentsholing by walking through the immigration and put us to the hotel Gamega, close to the immigration point. The hotel was more or less alright, the entrance being a bit dirty. Complimentary dinner and breakfast was basic but tasty and clean.                 Next morning we met our driver Mr. Phub and the HiAce luxury van (Toyota, 8 seater),which was supposed to transport us through the hilly terrains of Bhutan for all the coming days. The van was spacious and comfortable; the only problem for us(elderly persons with knee problems) was in getting in and getting out of the van as the steps for entry were at a height from the ground. This was solved successfully by Ms. Januka and Ms. Sabitra (our tour coordinator in Bhutan) by providing a small wooden stool to be placed near the steps. Ms. Sabitra was stationed in Thimpu and came to meet us in the hotel Migmar where we were accommodated. We found Ms. Sabitra to be a smart, caring and professionally competent young lady constantly keeping track of our tour and calling us each evening for our feedback. In fact, she changed some of the earlier assigned hotels because they didn't have lifts (elevators) considering our problems while climbing steps. Our driver Mr. Phub was a stoutly built, polite young person who was a very fine driver too. His driving through the hilly roads of Bhutan was very comfortable. Whenever requested, he stopped the van for taking photographs and suggested some appropriate spots for photography. The hotel Migmar in Thimpu was an excellent property with all modern amenities. From the windows of our rooms we could see the head of Sakyamuni Buddha and the view was marvelous in the moonlit night.                In Thimpu we visited the statue of Sakyamuni Buddha (a must visit spot), the Hindu Temple and a place called, ”Simply Bhutan”, where the culture and customs of Bhutan were demonstrated live. Because of the high entrance fee, some of us considered this place something like the proverbial "Delhi ka laddu".(No offence intended)! On our request Ms. Januka took us to a restaurant (Babesa Village restaurant) where authentic Bhutanese meals were served in Bhutanese style. It was a really a very nice experience to have a sumptuous Bhutanese meal and in the way the Bhutanese people take it. Thanks to Ms. Januka.                We visited Paro via Punakha {old capital of Bhutan), a beautiful place located in the valley and had an overnight stay in a nice hotel (Pema Karpoo) located just in front of the river with a grand view of the river flowing through the valley. On the way we visited the Fertility temple and the suspension bridge, a very windy place with an excellent view. At Paro (a beautiful small town) we were put up in exquisitely constructed deluxe cottages in a resort (Rema resort)where the rooms were with wood paneled walls, floors and ceiling with overwhelming décor and nice view from the windows. The only problem was to climb steep wooden stairs to go to the dining hall. We visited the much talked about (over-hyped?) Che-le-la pass, located at a height of about thirteen thousand feet (a very cold and windy place). We returned to Kolkata by air and found the airport to be one of the very cute airports that we have seen.                The overall rating of the tour should honestly be “excellent”, mostly because of the personal care taken for the elderly persons like us besides efficient management. Much of the credit will go to Ms. Januka who with her sweet nature was able to create emotional bonds  particularly with the ladies of our group. This was evident in the Paro airport when the ladies hugged Ms. Januka with tear-filled eyes to bid goodbye. Our many thanks to Ms. Sabitra and Ms. Takashi for all the sincere efforts they have put in to make our entire trip to Bhutan a pleasurable and comfortable one. Finally kudos to Nature Wings!  Pradip Kumar Sarkar Kendriya Vihar, VIP Road, Kolkata 700052
