From Paro, head to the base of Taktsang and start the hike to the renowned Tiger’s Nest Monastery. The walk to the cafeteria viewpoint takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes, providing breathtaking views of the cliffside monastery where Guru Padmasambhava is said to have arrived on a tigress in the 8th century. After taking in the scenery, continue your hike up to the monastery itself. Later, descend to the road point and drive to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples.
