Since its establishment in 1930, the “Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas” is esteemed as one of Penang’s most stunning architectural marvels, blending three cultures into one structure – a Chinese octagonal base, a Thai middle tier, and a Burmese crown. In 2002, a 30.2-meter Guan Yin – Goddess of Mercy bronze statue was erected at the temple’s highest point, accessible via an inclined lift in the middle.
