• The Bell Tower - Capture a memorable photo of this iconic Perth landmark before departing at 6:45 am. Starting early allows us to make the most of the day and avoid the heat and crowds while exploring the Pinnacles before the Western Australian sun becomes too intense.
• The Pinnacles Desert - Enjoy a picturesque drive north from Perth as we venture into the heart of Nambung National Park. Our 4WD capabilities will take you off the beaten path and directly into the Pinnacles Desert, where we’ll explore the 4.5 km driving trail. You’ll then have the chance to wander at your own pace among thousands of surreal limestone formations that rise dramatically from the golden sand.
• Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre - Visit the Pinnacles Discovery Centre to learn about the geology of the Pinnacle formations and the cultural and natural heritage values of the area. Stop by the gift store for some unique and interesting souvenirs.
• Stromatolites - Our journey continues to the Lake Thetis Stromatolites. These ancient rock-like structures are formed by microbial communities and are among the earliest signs of life on Earth, dating back over 3.5 billion years. As you stroll along the easy boardwalk trail, you’ll get a close-up look at these living fossils and discover what makes them so special.
• Cervantes - Next, it’s time to find a relaxing spot for morning tea. Depending on the day’s weather and local conditions, we’ll choose one of the region’s beautiful secluded beaches to park up on. Cara will organize hot tea or coffee, and you can enjoy a biscuit or two while taking in the sights and sounds of the beach around you. Feel free to grab a deck chair, dip your toes in the water, take a stroll along the sandy beach, or simply unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
• Lobster Shack Cervantes WA - The Lobster Shack is renowned for its fresh seafood and lobster meals, which you can enjoy while overlooking the Indian Ocean. (Lunch is at the guests’ expense) Choose from extravagant lobster platters, buckets of prawns, Australian oysters, or a selection of smaller bite-sized treats. Seafood alternative meals are available, as well as gluten-free and vegetarian options. Choose a seaside cocktail or mocktail. Local and international beers and wines are on offer, or try the Lobster Lager to complete the full experience.
• Lancelin Sand Dunes - In the afternoon, we head south to the vast white sands of the Lancelin Dunes, where you can choose your adventure. Grab a sandboard and ride the dunes, or relax and take in the stunning views of endless sand meeting sea and sky.
• Lancelin - Sundowners - A perfect finish before returning to Perth. We’ll find the ideal spot to enjoy a laid-back Aussie sundowner. Sink into a deck chair with your drink of choice, whether it’s a chilled local beer, gin & tonic with WA botanicals, or a fresh Australian orange juice. After a day of discovery, Cara will get you back to Perth just after 5 pm, giving you plenty of time to head out and enjoy Perth City for the evening.
