Iquitos / Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve
Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - Guests are warmly welcomed at the airport or hotel in Iquitos. They are then transferred to Nauta to board private boats on the Marañon River. Depending on the season, there is a visit to Fundo Casual, a tropical forest managed by local residents, where various wildlife species can be observed. Guests are then transferred to the ecolodge, where they are greeted by a member of the Kukama Kukamiria ethnic group. Accommodation is provided in cabins or bungalows. There is an engaging discussion on Amazonian myths and legends, followed by a night tour of the forest surrounding the ecolodge.
Private Reserve / Nauta Caño / Pacaya Samiria Nature Reserve
Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - An interpretive walk through the restinga forest surrounding the ecolodge follows the primate trail. Guests then depart for the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, specifically the Nauta Caño area, where sightings of pink and gray dolphins are guaranteed. The journey continues through the Jungle of Mirrors, with a tour of the flood forests and opportunities to observe the diverse flora and fauna of the region.
Cocha Shiriyacu / San Jorge Community / Iquitos
Iquitos - A boat tour on the Marañón River leads to Cocha Shiriyacu, where guests can enjoy artisanal fishing. A visit to the San Jorge Community allows for interaction with its members and an understanding of their lifestyle and ancestral traditions. Guests also visit the Center for Kukama Women Crafts (Pua Kamatawara), a project developed by Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge. Finally, there is a transfer to the airport or hotel in the city of Iquitos.
