Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - Upon arrival at the airport, guests will be greeted and taken to the hotel. The journey to Nauta will take approximately an hour and a half. From there, the adventure begins into one of Peru’s most untouched protected areas, the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. After a two-hour trek, visitors will reach this breathtaking location, known as the “jungle of mirrors” due to the stunning reflections in its dark waters. Entry into this national reserve is a key requirement.

After completing the entry process, guests will proceed to the first campsite, where a variety of activities await. Following lunch, the first excursion offers options such as observing pink and gray dolphins, sport fishing for piranhas and other species, primate watching, hiking in the seasonal floodplain forest, bird watching, and more. Dinner will be served, and there is an optional night walk to discover nocturnal creatures, with possible sightings of snakes, spiders, raccoons, night monkeys, night birds, frogs, and more.

Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - Day 02
An early morning activity is planned before breakfast, as this is the optimal time to spot the most exotic and colorful birds. Guests are encouraged to rise early to observe species such as macaws, parrots, tanagers, orioles, and various mammals.

After breakfast, a morning walk is scheduled to explore narrow streams and observe the wonders of Mother Nature. Expect to see monkeys, sloths, iguanas, and vibrant birds that inhabit this unique ecosystem.

Lunch will be followed by an exciting dolphin watching session. A naturalist will explain how dolphins have adapted to life in the Amazon, having once lived in the ocean millions of years ago. Dinner will be followed by an evening boat ride in search of alligators.

Pacaya Samiria National Reserve - Guests will witness mammals in their natural habitat, a rich biodiversity, stunning landscapes teeming with wildlife and nature, including monkeys, toucans, anacondas, giant otters, and pink dolphins.

An early morning walk will take guests through the enchanting jungle to the city of Nauta, exploring its full splendor until reaching Iquitos, where the tour concludes at 5:00 PM.
