Llanganuco Lakes

Lake Llanganuco - The journey begins with an early departure to northern Huaraz, visiting several Andean villages rich in traditions and customs. The route leads to Yungay province and then ascends to Llanganuco Valley, where the lakes are nestled at the base of the Huandoy Mountain to the north and Huascaran Mountain to the south. A short hike along the valley includes the enchanting Trail of Maria Josefa.

Chavin Pre-Inca Ruins

Chavin de Huantar - Travel south of Huaraz and ascend to Lake Querococha, where nature greets visitors with fresh air and the refreshing chill of the highland pastures. As visitors explore Querococha Lake and cross the Cordillera Blanca, they encounter the most significant hydrographic division between the Pacific and Atlantic slopes. Upon arrival at Chavin, the magnificent ruins developed by the Pre-Incas, long before the Incas and the Machu Picchu citadel in Cusco, can be observed.

Pastoruri Glacier

Pastoruri Glacier - Drive south of Huaraz along the highway, enjoying the diverse landscapes of the highland pastures. Witness the activities of shepherds, Andean birds, and plants, including the popular Puya Raymondi. Visit other tourist sites before finally arriving at the Pastoruri Glacier, where the melting glacier is observed, which is why entry or climbing in this part of the glacier area is restricted. Return to Huaraz via the same route.
